I didn't call you pathetic, I said the mainstreaming of games is pathetic - and the defending of these bullshit actions, yeah; that's pathetic. The fact that Gears of Bore is one of your favourite games and that you "like where games went this generation" is evidence enough that I don't wish to waste my time any further  What's realistic about infinite health? What's realistic about god-camera allowing you to see 360 degrees? Those are rhetorical questions, by the way.
Note that I'm not attacking you or your tastes, though I am attacking the subject of your affections. You love the mainstreaming of games, despite your claims to the contrary, because you've just explained how each one of the new mainstream tropes is GOOD for gaming. Mainstream != simple levels. Mainstream = appealing to the current accepted/desired norm.
The ritalin generation want blood, sex, fancy graphics, cover shooting, FPS-style gaming. Everything I just listed above - and which you defended.

these are gameplay mechanics, I am a player who mainly looks for music, atmosphere, plot.
There is nothing realistic about infinte health. Just as there is nothing realistic about medkits.
The only realistic is ghost warrior or first rainbow six where You died or got heavily wounded from first shot.
god camera floating around? I dont see any other way to do it in 3rd person. blacking out parts that player wouldnt see from behind obstacle etc would be painfull to play.
anyway. GAMES GAMES GAMES! Dont forget to have fun and immerse in the virtual world! This is what its all about isnt it?
Anyway:P nevermind. Its not like we can do anything about it right? Just like Dog cant change dog food recipe:P

You wont win this argument with your Norwegian friend; at least in his mind. To him (and many like him) anything that streamlines a game experience and (god forbid) makes it fun for a large majority of players is a "derp"-fest or dumbing down of a game.

Of course not - especially when you aren't even referencing what the other person is talking about. No wonder some of you folks getcher panties in a twist about popular "mainstream" games - you're talking about things that don't even exist.
Only on NFOhump is making a game more accessible code for "lol they couldn't hold they controller rightz". To pretty much the rest of the world it means "Hey guys - our gameplay was ok, but we want to tighten it up and remove the bullshit that just isn't fun. . ."

Just sprint from one of the room to the other, plug him while keeping in cover, when he gets close or throws grenades run to the other side again. He only manages to hit you once or twice when you're sprinting.
Also, i suggest using the shotgun when you can for moar damage. There's also 2 rooms containing ammo and weapons on the side corners.

It's pretty much cover, shoot type of boss. There are red barrels throw at him if you're low on ammo. Also there are some grenades in the room on the left AFAIK. Now the 2nd boss was tougher
