Alright, I've finally played a couple of matches..and I quite enjoyed it. It's obviously very similar to PES 2011 but some of the animations are definitely better (especially the contrasts and running animations, which are more fluid and natural than before), and also the AI behaviour/movements without the ball have been improved as well.
The default speed is too fast imo, but it's perfect if set on -1. As for the graphics, I don't like the permanent "blur" effect but the lighting is quite good as well as the players' models, which are slightly more realistic and slender.
Overall it's a step forward if compared to the 2011 version, but I still prefer the modded Fifa 11..and with the incoming Fifa 12 is going to be very tough for Pes.

It's the fake "AA" typical of some console games which is used to mask the jaggies in a cheap way, I really hope it gets fixed/removed in the final version because it's honestly quite bad |

I just finished playing couple of matches too. Menus are almost the same , very similiar with PES 2011. I didn't like that fs blur also , I even checked gfx options to see if I set correct resolution  .. 1080p but it looks like it's lower , dear God  . They better put off box in the options or patchers will do their magic. I agree with default speed .. way fast , they have option for that at least. Some small gfx improvement and touches here and there .. don't like that veins on the neck every time someone opens their mouth a bit. Some new cutscenes are interesting , especially when doing throw ins..player comes to take the ball etc.
I think passing is much easier now , not sure if that is a good thing..PES 2011 requires much more precision sometimes , here mistakes are tolerated. New animations , here and there..not that bad..but still FIFA simply owns here , can't wait to see their Imact Engine at work. AI is a bit better too. I love shooting from the distance , that was always great in PES.
I definetely need to play more and see some other stuff like how refs are doing  or gk's , corner kicks , free kicks etc .. At first look I think it's better then PES 2011, not much better .. but improved a bit ..
If I put it like this..I spend 90% of the time this year playing FIFA 11 .. PES only 10% playing mostly 2 vs. 2 and master league , I not believe this ratio will change this year drastically..

plays much better than pes 2011, but i dont think it can beat fifa12. honestly i played a lot pes in the good old days, but after pes5 / world soccer winning eleven 9 liveware evolution the game stuck and only got worse. and seriously why the fucking blur and black borders in 16:10? dumb console port!
and be smart, think about the last years and the demos. there wont be any changes at all compared to the final version when its out

This is probably 95% finished game..knowing KONAMI so far , they can't improve it much.

Impressive demo.I had low expectations but I'm amazed now.
Speed -2 (little slow but I like it there) - Passing bar at 0 (full manual) - top player.
Nice flow of the game,build up play is phenomenal,AI shines.The ref seems ok this year,GK's are good so far.Gameplay feels like Fifa 10 and is definetely better than fifa 11.

I am also positively surprised by this little demo, but let's not forget that this is only a preview build. If the final product will be even better, then we might get the best PES since quite some time. From the first 15 minutes I can say that AI is solid [at least on PRO], graphics are better than ever [didn't expected that to be honest] and there is also plenty of new animations.
Really can't wait for the final product.

The only big issue for me is the GKs' reaction time which isn't exactly optimal, sometimes I can score even with mediocre straight shots since the GK is either badly positioned or just sleeping. The other players' AI has been improved a lot though.

wtf i lost against the AI 2 times in a row now , them being Milan and I porto
their players can dribble with split second reactions , and even when i get a tackle in they just ignore it and keep going
other than the unfair AI opponent the game is pretty good

Huge step forward here.
Loving how you can make selected players make an overlapping run, too bad they only walk forward in a straight line.
I experienced good combination play with this, Man-U style.
In PES08 you could make em run in each direction you want, even though this feature was hidden.
Dead ball situations are a big plus too.
Short passes @ free kicks.
No more lame throw-ins.
Short corners work fine again.
Screens from the hood.
Sorry but I love this guy

Have you tried disabling all the aids? (pass/shoot support, auto-sliding etc.), it gets a lot better and definitely more realistic  |

I hardly noticed that blur while playing, or there's something wrong with my glasses.

I'm sure the gk's will be fixed but to speak the truth I haven't encountered any weird gk decision so far in my games (around 25 so far).
The game on -2 or -1 speed with all aids off is real football.I've seen so many negative posts in other forums and I'm really shocked.

You know you can manually take control of other players and move them with the right stick while you have the ball?
