The digital version if lossless WAV, so I guess that's ONE (and only ONE) benefit to having the digital release. Shame, as dezztroy said, it's a pile of bullshit and chips. Around 30 minutes of audio, compared to several HOURS worth from the beta alone.

So fuck it. I paid extra (and then some) for the OST, you can be damned sure I'm "acquiring" it from the net when the REAL full OST comes out.

Those were all in Detroit. There was a storage and 2 doors in some buildings if I'm not wrong.

And another set of images, should be the last one unless there's some really weird stuff later on.

 Spoiler:

Should be close to those mercenaries again now, guess that means yet another boss encounter. Razz
(They're not bad or anything but so far it has more or less been like a dueling arena with this sort of thing with little for the player to decide upon, that will probably change though.)

Sapphire will be starting this from tomorrow as well, even for people who already have their card (meaning: me, since both my 5870 and 6950 were/are Sapphire) Smile

Freshly done with it after some 24 hours and a tiny bit above. Liked it a lot but it's not something phenomenal or ground-shaking. Not the game of the year to me by any means. It's just that - a decent title. Like I said some pages before - 7/10 suits it perfectly fine.

Not sure what you expect. There's only 3-4 side missions per hub.

Expect a ban from pumpy when he hears that.

7/10 is the most I'd give it as well. Good game but not great.
Ofc if you get off doing the hacking minigame several hundred times you'd rate it higher. Smile

30 hours in, I think I'm finally nearing the end.

I'm playing it in "only" 3-4 hour bursts, tho.

Enjoying the game so far beyond the stuttering, crashing, and save file loss, but I feel I have to ask one question: Why are there no working mirrors in the game? The one in your apartment is broken, and all the mirrors in the bathrooms are in "power save mode" when you look at them. Was it that hard for them to do reflections? Reflections have been in games for years now...

Just completed the game, while it was a good experience it was sadly marred by the imposed boss fights with preset conditions for killing them. Not at all groundbreaking or as impressive as the original game, though it's still a Deus Ex title as it's possible to make it today.
Thats not to say that I approve of such things as third person cover shooting, definitely not in a first person game, it just removes you from the immersion.
Though I suppose in one regard it might be considered groundbreaking for it's lack of linear gameplay, but to me that is just a return to how gaming used to be, and for that I do applaud it as thats definitely not the standard today.
Theres a lot of dialogue in the game and a lot to discover and see, certainly a plus and it's clear that the developers were aware of what it means to have the 'Deus Ex' heritage.

I did not like the final sequence that much, was a bit too much Dead Space over that and far too little Deus Ex.
I liked the references to the original game, as strictly speaking this is a prequel, so it makes sense to find references to people you know from there, like Morgan Everett, Bob Paige, JC, Tracer Tong, Joseph Manderley and Walton Simons and possibly others that I didn't discover.

It's definitely been worth my money and I'm going to play it again at some point and I would hope that theres an SDK released, although seeing as how it's largely a console game publisher it's unlikely.

Compared to something like Call of Duty I'd give this game 10/10. Compared to the original Deus Ex and the impact it had I'd give it 7/10.

Now if this game sells well and people don't whine too much on forums et al and it means a return to more intelligent and deeper gameplay systems then I'd possibly rank it higher in the future.
It's definitely been one of the better games that I've played in this age of derp, but I don't know yet if it'll be my 'game of the year' as the year isn't exactly over yet and theres still more stuff this year I'm looking forward to playing.
