They should perhaps have tied in that cash bonus better (AUD's and UR-DED's are rather good examples as they're spread thorough the entire game and fairly balanced, for the other weapons Jensen's apartment seems valid.), why not have Sarif offer it when you get back (From the first mission when you talk to him in the office, as it's prioritized.) as a sort of extra payment or get the choice of something else.
(Praxis makes the most sense, or maybe his stash of fine alcohol and illegal meds. Razz )

Or they could just give it right away and let the player decide what kind of experience they want.
Seriously, do people have such minimal self-control that they need devs to block content away from them? I ran around most of the game with over 15k credits and 3 (11 at one point) unassigned praxis.

The same way you choose which difficulty you play the game on, you can choose when and how much credits/points you want to spend to have the kind of challenge you desire.

I got the fourth ending too finally. Found Taggart for the 4th option. Yay! Very Happy

But the Pacifist achievement. So I figured that
 Spoiler:

Still no Pacifist unlocked Sad

Could it be that getting the achievement about granting the old man his wish might be the deciding point?

No spoilers above, Pumpy, the achievements are fully readable in Steam Razz
E: Dam you and them spoilers! Crying or Very sad

Well, not everyone finished the game on the steam version. Hint: Me. I'm still waiting for my boxed copy to arrive, so you might want to spoiler that. Pumpy the cat might take umbrage to that.

1 and 2 are still amazing.

Yeah no one seems to care at all no matter what you do it seems. Razz
(Aside from a comment in the news "paper" about, funny thing was I could go back to the station and it still was like I had left it, next play trough will be stealth based instead of action, I mean I killed most everyone possible including key characters albeit that triad guy T. proved bulletproof and other situations got resolved via cutscenes I could not influence at all.)

EDIT: Or maybe you meant stuff like the armory and other loot.
(Terminals were fun though.)

I "love" the AI. They will shoot on sight if you hack BUT if you just stack some boxes or vending machines in front of their line of sight they won't care even if they are standing just a few feet away!!! Very Happy

In case anyone considers the 10.000 credits you get from the preorder DLC a cheat and wants to get rid of them, there's an easy solution:

1. download Cheat Engine from here and install it. Pay attention during install since it wants to install voice recognition software and a toolbar, make sure you say no to those options.

2. Launch Deus Ex, load a savegame and haul your ass to a merchant, then alt-tab to desktop and run Cheat Engine.

3. Click on the leftmost button with the computer and magnifying glass and choose the "dxhr.exe" process from the list and click "open".

4. Make sure the search options are set up as such: Scan Type: Exact value, Value Type: 4 bytes. Then input the amount of money you have in the game into the search box and press the "First Scan" button. It should find several addresses.

5. Go into the game and buy something or pick up a credit chip to change the amount of money you have. Then just input the new value into Cheat Engine and click the "Next Scan" button and it should find an address with your money value.

6. Double click it on the list so it'll add it to the bottom panel, then change the value according to your wishes and click the square under the "Active" tab. Go back in-game, your amount money should be changed. Save the game, alt-tab back to Cheat Engine, close it and you're done. Smile

I just used something similar.

I found trainer that had CT file (profile for cheat engine), loaded it, and used its already defined value for credits to change it.

As for other freebee items, I just dropped them at the beginning of 1st mission.

There are plenty of things I question about DX:HR AI, one is that they rarely seem to cross doorways if they are alerted? Or If you are stuck behind a desk for example they won't surround you.

But there are obvious flaws.

Say there are 2 rooms, A and B. A is open to public, B is restricted.
A and B are connected by a door. In A, next to the door, is a guard.

Here is my gripe:
Walking through the door makes them hostile.
Sprinting through the door makes them alert because i havent been within their vision long enough. So by sprinting like a madman im being stealthy Laughing

At least it's not like in DX where when you shoot someone with a tranq dart every dweeb on the map instantly knows your precise location.

As much as I love The Witcher 2 this is such a nobrainer... this is my GOTY this year. I still haven't finished it yet, I just reached Picus. Steam says I played 47 hours which is correct right now I think because I left the game in the taskbar from time to time, maybe plus 1-2 hours. I'm ready to say that I actually love this even more than I love the first game. It's a shame that using lethal weapons (silent or not) is rewarded very poorly and there's no damn silenced sniper in the game itself (stupid bonuses for preordering/buying from one shop or another, this needs to fucking stop!).

I agree... imho TW2 tried too hard to be a mature game with all its forced nudity and idiotic cussing.

Some of Jensen's dialogue is pure gold.

They will probably all award it to The Derper Scrolls though.

Witcher 2 still my GOTY. PEEEEOPLE! THE CYBORG IS PERSUING MEEE!

But still liked this quite a bit and was worth every penny. I dont think I'll replay it though, not for a good while at least. Wish it had more branching storyline like W2

Can't fault activision for giving people more of what they want.. MOAR MW. I'd do the same in their position and reap the benefits

There are a handful of people who rail against derps on here BTW who bought the last couple MW titles
