Regardless, the total amount of GBs it'll be occupying will be around 20-25 - just like in the console counterpart. Or so, I believe...

MAYBE, just MAYBE, developers could release a DEMO version of the game...like for Deus Ex. Did know what Deus Ex could be, SO I have decided to buy it. If I DON'T KNOW if a game is good or bad, the FREE DL is the only way to me. That's all. 20 or 80 Gb of quality is not a problem, but such a vaste if the entire game is a pure shit.

We’re working with Sony and Microsoft to wrap up our cert issues, but because we’re Steamworks on PC, which is really nice, we get to keep working on our executable so the guys are back doing some last-minute tweaks on the PC version. It’s always been solid, but there’s some things they want to do like better automatic machine configuration, get more cores to transcode the textures and stuff like that. So the guys are finishing some cert issues and doing some last-minute optimisations on PC, but when you authenticate on Steam for the first time, that’s when you’ll actually get the executable, so we can work on that until we have to ship it.

Also I couldn't find a confirmation about it but apparently the console version has a 4x4 thousand megatexture and the PC version a 16x16 thousand so it's pretty good already.
(64x64 or what the original was - 48? - would be better of course but file size is going to ramp up heavily if that's done and of course less compression for better overall quality, was mentioned earlier though.)
EDIT: Obviously this also works as recent Steamworks titles, exe is downloaded later upon release (And is not on the disc.) but there will probably be a pre-load.
