They have? Or are you basing that on the few people whining about it?

People enjoying the game are busy with actually playing it.

This is quite simply the best shooter I've played in years.

Yep, totally agree. But! It's not for everyone. Deep research before buying is the key.
Lot's of people expected something like CoD it seems and are constantly raging everywhere possible Laughing

Beta is far from total shit. It's quite fun. The only real issue are the lack of maps right now. Because, IMO, the three they chose for beta all are mediocre. Fallenfighters ain't bad as it includes the full breadth of the game though. Tanks, full commander support, etc..

Anyways, I love playing as commander. If you have squadleaders that actually follow your direction it's quite fun. Even better are when squadleaders call in arty markings as it's hard properly sighting out as the commander way behind the lines.

Fun game, but it is a bit to fast for me. I loved the slow pace of Red Orchestra 1. This just feels like another multi-fps. Spawn, rack up a few kills, die and so on. Haven't seen much tactics used. Just enter the meat grinder and fight. The maps feels kinda small aswell. Really hard to flank.

No that's not the case at all - it's STILL a beta and a way from being fixed.

Also not all the weapons are available in beta. I couldn't find any server with MKb 42/ AVT40 unlocked.

8 days to release but surely you could find that out on the store page? That doesn't mean a thing tho. I really don't know why you yourself are bothered mate. You obviously don't want the game and only post to highlight what you yourself see as negatives without having played it - some might say you are trolling but whatever. It's still a beta and I'll be the first to complain if it's still fucked on release day.

Honestly - Personally I can't even be arsed playing this with all the constraints that they suggest to avoid problems. I don't mind testing something but trying to get it to run without crashing at below a level of performance that makes it generally enjoyable is not my idea of fun. I only booted it up once since the recent patch - and it crashed zzzzz. I thought about DXHR which I still have hardly played and also Space Marine which is impending. Add to that the possibility that I'm gonna grab Dead Island and I've no incentive to keep testing the beta and plenty of reasons not to. I do not doubt that they will fix this (eventually) and what I've seen when it's been ok for long enough says this is gonna be a great game but beta testing for many, including myself, is starting to be pretty boring cos the majority of the time is spent doing something other than playing.

Bought it yesterday, joined, was confused as hell, its totally different from what ive played, kind of feels like Arma Very Happy. Honestly its great, the feeling is genuine, it feels like war indeed, shooting feels right, moving around feels great (well cover sometimes fails... but it works great after u get it) but the whole feeling of the game, the sounds, the effects, pretty good, had a lot of fun, im excited to go home today Very Happy

Only thing i hope is to get a lil more performace in it, it kinda lagged in Ultra Settings so i had to go to High and disable Blur and some other things, now it runs ok but not as fluent as i want it to.

So, I'm considering to buy this as a preorder. But will I like it? I haven't tried the first RO game, but I like the idea of a Semi realistic shooter, especially if it also draws a crowd of people of higher age than the average game as I'm an old school gamer and tired of foul mouthed brats.

Then you should stay away from the beta and wait a couple of weeks after release before you buy it.

With the launch of Red Orchestra 2 ever approaching, we had the chance here at Ironhammers to ask a few questions of Tripwire Interactive’s Vice President, Alan Wilson. And, he had a few choice words when we asked him whether or not we’d likely see Tripwire branch out to other platforms:

“Other genres – maybe. Other platforms – almost certainly. The only real questions are “which game” and “when”. We’re already involved in one piece for the mobile platform. And when we do other platforms (i.e. console), we’ll do it properly. Which means that the PC game will still be a PC game – and the console game will be designed to make the best use of the console. No “lowest common denominator”. That irritates the crap out of everyone (except perhaps the accountants at certain very large publishers).

Well free weekend will probably come but not until the game is released so right now you will probably have to wait. However there seems to be rumors about beta key handouts but it was a while since it was mentioned and the game is soon to be released.
