I don't get what all the fuzz regarding the fov is about. I like it. I can see clearly now, like looking thru a looking glass. Take a running zombie for instance, he comes charging at you with incredible force and without this fov you would be like holy shit in a shoebox where is the zombie?! Well that's not the case now, you can see him clearly and even at a large distance he would take a lot of screen space. Now that's what i call quality.

Makes many people dizzy, including myself. To the point where its a chore to even play the game.
But the sarcasm in your post has been noted.

I don't really care, but is it normal that I start with all achievements completed using the reloaded version?

Just VPN'd, registered a new account and the code you mentioned brought the price down to ~$39.
I'm guessing it was $34, if you incuded the 15% pre-order discount, which as of now is only available for the UK and Euro territories I guess.

I fucking LOVE this game! Yes, Techland fucked up with the patch/release situation, but the game itself is phenomenal. I was hoping for something good, but I sure as hell never expected it to be THIS engrossing and enjoyable.
I hope the initial teething issues (and subsequent Metacritic 3-score spam from angry gamers) doesn't discourage Techland or other publishers, as this is just oozing awesomeness.

I'd have to agree. The game is phenomenal. They did tick almost all the right boxes.
On the bad side though, I hate the item and zombie respawns, i wish the vehicles had fuel, i wish it was possible to aim while throwing items and some other minor issues.
With some great mods this game will be legendary.

Legendary huh? So... I don't have much time to play, and when I do I play Din's Curse =) . What should I try first? Dead Island or Deus Ex? The fact that I don't really like stealth, and love open worlds in games should make it easier, but I'll still ask.

fov 92
Spoiler: | |
All you have to do is to pack your edited files back to Data0.pak
Data\Skills\default_levels.xml - fov and strife speed.
Data\Menu\Movies\IntroMovies.scr - comment everything with // to disable intros, that might fix the black screen problem at the start for some.
Data\Scripts\varlist_blur_camera_motion.scr - change all to 0.0 to disable motion blur
Data\Scripts\ - there is some *glow* and *lighting* files you can mess around with to try to get rid of bloom.

What's the default FOV? 60? Anything other than DXHR's 75 makes me dizzy...

I think it was something rediculoius like 62. I changed it before I got to start the game. Works fine.

@Venn
You know something? I honestly couldn't say. Ask me again when I finish DI. Right now I'm just in the Hotel, exploring, and it's fantastic!
@Impus
Epic first post is full of win. Thank you! Oh and the default FOV is 65.

<prop n="CameraDefaultFOV" v="62.5"/> says 62.5 here
how exactly does that work? When I open the data0.pak 7zip or the windowszipthingy and edit the default_levels.xml the game doesnt load anymore...

Hey guys, I don't know if this has already been asked but, does the game take you back to your base camp (in this case the lifeguard house with the antennas and stuff) everytime you exit the game and then come back later? I had just finished the quest handing the insuline to Luke's brother, I got out of the game and later when I came back I was back at the lifeguard house with Tanoi. I checked and I had all my earned xp and same inventory I had on exit but the location apparently doesn't stick?

Perhaps when you saved the changes, winzip or whatever you used compressed it into something the game doesn't recognize. If you want I can send you data0.pak
