Pretty good game, I only hate the damn menus.
Takes too much time to equip another weapon and so on, small thing but very frustrating.

MMB can be used to switch between them via a quick-menu though I suppose scrolling would have been another possibilities.
EDIT: Middle-Mouse Button.
(Might be a good idea to clarify this.)

yeah, Mouse Button 3, but when you open the inventory through key "i", it's not bad but the response time of these menus is a bit too slow IMO.

So cheat and turn it into a shooter, infinite ammo is easy with CheatEngine or trainers.

I don't know how gunplay feels like. As I said I didn't give it much time, I was playing Spess Marine.

With a bit of exploration a revolver (At times a standard handgun.) can be found within a hour or so, of course that's six shots and no good source of ammo for a while yet.
(Shooting works fine though outside of really good weapons - found a purple lighting-fast revolver just a short while ago as a example - they're a bit slow and the random generation of things often leaves you with poor versions of weapons early on in the game - not dependent on player leve, depended on the actual level you play on though player level influences item and monster level but they can still be crap, also high-level zombies aren't all that more problematic than low-level ones so they never get especially strong, thugs and rams though differ a bit from this but they start strong to begin with whereas walkers and infected/runners are a pretty low threat unless swarmed.)

Oh boy, don't get me started on thugs. Each one felt like a mini boss fight until i got molotovs and deodorant grenades. Those deodorant grenades are seriously overpowered. 5000 damage is instakill for everything (including you if you stand too close *g*).

Can you continue to explore and do unfinished side quests after beating the game?

I knew about the quick-menu (middle mouse), but I meant to replace the used slots you gotta navigate into the inventory menu. 'this' menu is a pain.
Forgot to mention the intro, best i've seen in a while

what about tricking the video.scr in game folders ? you have a line like that: "!FSAA(i) // Full Screen AntiAliasing, 0 - none, higher is better", maybe you could change the 0 value to 2.

I have a question for people that play original, do you have suitcases bags and other stuff that respawned with their content ? I mean you go through some area you check and take everything then you came back after some time and they again have something inside ? Or with zombies you go you kill then come back 5-10 mins later and the zombies are back and rising from the exact same spot ?

Because they unpack the files from .pak file and put them in Data folder. It overwrites the files in the .pak itself therefore you don't have to modify it. |
oh so it just looks for the generic path from inside the data pak, i remember this from long ago with other games.. some actually run better due to not having to use a pak file before accessing the data inside..? although that was moons ago on slower pc's in the day
edit: just tested it without using the folders and game still works though that file was edited...

welcome to FarCry 2 respawning symptom. When you do another mission or just restart the game, zombies are here again, BUT they can change their own place.
