I think you need to try jungleflasher and re-flash your firmware. if you have the original firmware that is the best option, if not then just flash with 1.9 or latest fw.
If jungleflasher doesn't recognise your drive which i don't think it will, try booting to dos and use dosflash and try that.

Thanks again, i will try the dos method, will it work if my xbox dvd drive wont open? do i have to do the"half tray open"?

Download the latest jungleflasher tutorial it's in pdf format and follow that exactly.
If that doesn't work search for dosflash tutorial.

Hey no problem, glad it worked for you. I had a similar problem when jungleflasher failed on write and left the drive dead like yours.
Don't hold your breath mate there will be another fw for you to flash very soon, XDG3 support is just around the corner! You've done the hard part now, it will be a walk in the park Wink

Dosflash has saved my arse a few times now, and punching the air and shouting Yeeeahhhh It's Alive!!! Haha

Sorry for the bad english.. and thank very much for helping me.. i am playing dead island with your help Smile have a good day sir Smile
EDIT: i an asking this cuz the "half tray open" was so hard to me.. i cant believe i did it.. hope i dont need to do this again.

What drive do you have in your xbox mate?

I have a Liteon DG-16D4S 0225 and a quick bit of research, seems the board is write protected on these drives, you can read the key with certain hardware, which i have only part off. but wouldn't be able to write the new firmware to it anyway because it's locked!! looking at £50 for a unlocked replacment pcb...

Anyone else know more about this?

EDIT: well i think i'll just get the dvd key from the nand when i glitch this bitch Smile not that i can do anything with it! Not paying £50 for a replacement pcb, once it's glitchtaged there's no real need for the dvd drive anyway, i just copy games from a usb hdd.

Doesn't matter if you have the key, you still have to do "tray half open" to put the drive in vendor mode so you can write to it. But I don't see why you're having so much trouble with this Smile It's more pain in the ass to open the case than that. Keep one hand on the power cord of the drive and the other on the eject button, you have plenty of time to pull it out.

Damn, why is there no Xenon support for the Reset Glitch Hack? I can't believe that! What about Opus boards? I either have a Xenon or an Opus board since I don't have HDMI. I had a Xenon that I sent to MS for repairs in fall 2008. I got it back with a Liteon drive which was new and still unflashable at the time. So they might have swapped the board with an Opus as well. Does the RGH support Opus boards? I never saw them mentioned. Opus boards do have the HANA chip if that's important.

Yeah it's a bit irelevant at the moment though as nothing has been released to run unsigned code yet i.e Freestyledash. people just getting ready and prepared for the hardware release and hopefully the rest will follow.
As for Falcon support, i have read no new news on that. not saying it won't happen but there is pretty much no news about anything regarding the glitch hack atm.

If you don't have HDMI, you don't have the HANA chip (you have the ANA chip afaik). They actually use the HANA chip as a clock for the glitch, as far as I can recall. Since I have yet to perform this (waiting on my Star Wars 360 to attempt this, so long as they haven't done a hardware revision by then, which is extremely unlikely).

In other words, you will definitely need the HANA chip if you are to perform this glitch. Unless someone else comes up with some other way. I'm not sure if this will do what we need without the HANA chip or not:

Xbox-Scene wrote:
SQUIRT360 “THE FIRST ACTEL GLITCH HACK”
These the specs:
- A3P060 ACTEL 100Mhz (double speed then XILINX version)
- Oscillator on board (super stable then other solutions)
- ZIF15 pin JTAG updatable (compatible with INJECTUS JTAG programmer)
- DYNAMIC GLITCH CONFIGURATION (users can setup timing for a perfect glitch on each console)

The 100 Mhz speed allow to grant a perfect GLITCH in about 5 seconds, this mean BOOT X360 in 10 times less time then other solutions.
PRICE? Really CHEAPER!
Prototype pictures in the next days, review soon… stay tuned

As there isn't too much info on it yet, only time will tell

I think that's wrong. Xenus boards have the ANA chip but Opus boards are based on Falcon and they have the HANA chip: http://gear.ign.com/articles/895/895327p1.html

with jtags, what happens when m$ put a newer dash on the games or change protection system ie ap25, xgd3 - do they still play them without problems?

in other words, do you have to do the equivalent of optical drive flashing in some form to keep them working?

thanks.

Im still on the 12625 dash on my jtag and all new games play fine, including title like dead island and other xgd3 titles.

When a new dash comes out and you want to update you need to wait for a new freeboot, whick took about a day with the last update.
