That's a ban for non-jtag dlc and xbl stuff AFAIK. There was a thread on 360iso about that whole thing

Damn, why is there no Xenon support for the Reset Glitch Hack? I can't believe that! What about Opus boards? I either have a Xenon or an Opus board since I don't have HDMI. I had a Xenon that I sent to MS for repairs in fall 2008. I got it back with a Liteon drive which was new and still unflashable at the time. So they might have swapped the board with an Opus as well. Does the RGH support Opus boards? I never saw them mentioned. Opus boards do have the HANA chip if that's important.

If you don't have HDMI, you don't have the HANA chip (you have the ANA chip afaik). They actually use the HANA chip as a clock for the glitch, as far as I can recall. Since I have yet to perform this (waiting on my Star Wars 360 to attempt this, so long as they haven't done a hardware revision by then, which is extremely unlikely).
In other words, you will definitely need the HANA chip if you are to perform this glitch. Unless someone else comes up with some other way. I'm not sure if this will do what we need without the HANA chip or not:

| Xbox-Scene wrote: | SQUIRT360 “THE FIRST ACTEL GLITCH HACK”
These the specs:
- A3P060 ACTEL 100Mhz (double speed then XILINX version)
- Oscillator on board (super stable then other solutions)
- ZIF15 pin JTAG updatable (compatible with INJECTUS JTAG programmer)
- DYNAMIC GLITCH CONFIGURATION (users can setup timing for a perfect glitch on each console)
The 100 Mhz speed allow to grant a perfect GLITCH in about 5 seconds, this mean BOOT X360 in 10 times less time then other solutions.
PRICE? Really CHEAPER!
Prototype pictures in the next days, review soon… stay tuned |
As there isn't too much info on it yet, only time will tell
Hobo Zombie: TRAAAAAAAIIIINNNNNNSSSSSS
Woman Zombie: COMPLAAAAAAAIIIIIIINNNNNSSSSS
Englishmen Zombie: REFRAAAAAAAAAIIIIIINNNNNSSSSS
Thanks for the idea Lutz!

I think that's wrong. Xenus boards have the ANA chip but Opus boards are based on Falcon and they have the HANA chip: http://gear.ign.com/articles/895/895327p1.html

with jtags, what happens when m$ put a newer dash on the games or change protection system ie ap25, xgd3 - do they still play them without problems?
in other words, do you have to do the equivalent of optical drive flashing in some form to keep them working?
thanks.

Im still on the 12625 dash on my jtag and all new games play fine, including title like dead island and other xgd3 titles.
When a new dash comes out and you want to update you need to wait for a new freeboot, whick took about a day with the last update.
