Sucks for you cause i did exactly as said above on 3 JTAGs and all work flawlessly although one JTAG gave me the "no nxe games found" message, that was because the BETA was on the HDD. After deleting it, NXE patched went as plan.

First off, updating from disc would be the most retarded thing to do on a JTAG. Those rips are not made to be on discs.
Here's how you make GoW 3 work:
1) transfer the gears folder to jtag. hdd1\content \000000000
2) then transfer nxe2god (Google it) to ur jtag to any folder.
3) from x360 jtag using xexmenu, navigate to the nxe2god folder and run default.exe.
4) let it scan and follow the instruction. it will convert the gears 3 nxe files into GOD in 3 seconds.
5) play gears from the dashboard, |
Any way to run it from external HD? |

I cant answer that, i have a 500gb HD inside the 360 HDD case so i dont need an external.

dashlaunch auto patches. you don't get that message with newer versions of DL. Remember to config in launch.ini if its not already done.

How are you extracting the jtag rips for hdd use Deelix? The reason none of them work is becuase I never updated past the original kinectg dash update. Ive just been patching the games to devkit and playing from external. I just need to know how to extract the files as wxripper fails on these new ones.

Just tried launching this but it keep's giving me fatal crash error. I'm on dash 12611, do i have to update to run this game?
Newest dash is 13599 right?

Last time i tried doing any updating it resulted in black screen and it had to be sent back to be rejtagged so to say.

Perhaps you didnt read my post the games wont extract with wxripper it throws an offset error!. Maybe I dont care to update the kernel and potentially fuck my 360 up as I dont have the original nand I just wanna play the games on my external and delete them. No need to be rude. Anyways I found posts with the extraced files Im wondering how they were extracted that is all.
Ive got the games working I just need the raw iso data so I could patch it to devkit. Great game by the way.

I get fatal crash when launching after converting to iso and extracting and loading don't stop if i convert to iso and convert back to GOD again.

I would update the Jtag, but i don't know how to do it. I think i failed on some smc thing last time, but heck if i know what to do about it. Got a smc.bin and smc_config.bin on my external harddive from the guy i bought it from.

It almost worked... It crashes at the epic logo.... I need to check the freebot, free style and dash versions... not sure how to do it though  |

You guy's having problem's, check out the number of file's in the folder. It should be around 2561 ish file's.
I, at first, had 1700ish file's using Schtrom 360 to extract to my external. I then found another program XBOX360 ISO extract, and this has worked  |
Can you point me to the latest dash and dash launcher, or give me the versions so I can found them?

Not sure if i can post the link's to the actual file's. But the dash version is ' easy freeboot 13599' (Google this for tutorial's aswel)
And you're after dashlauch 2.223b, i grabbed this from xbin's.

Hiya,
Shouldn't have mattered with updating freeboot, so long as on a 'kinect' dash, though good that its uptodate now anyway.
Most important things should be
1) Latest dashlaunch. Which fixes a lot of issues You said that its been updated? That should be Dashlaunch v2.23b at the moment.
2) Since updating your freeboot, have you installed the avatar update, in order to have avatars working properly again? In the past some games refuse to run if you do not have this update, even if they seemingly don't use avatars in the game.
Are you launching the game in FSD2? If trying on an external device, try having it plugged into the front port. I sometimes have problems with games running on the back port......usually with a message along the lines of "please download this game again"
