You funny guy...

Go to C:\Users\<user>\Documents\Hard Reset\profiles\<profile>\

There are some things you can edit there. For example I changed the mouse sensivity to 5 as 3 is too low for me.

I have a question regarding adding cracked Steamworks games to Steam as third party game.
I like to start all my games via Steam, so i have them in one place, and can make screenshots via the steam overlay and chat with friends.
So, is there a possibility to enable the Steam Overlay on cracked Steamworks games?

Yes. It works just fine with Dead Island for me.

Also, I seem to have encountered a major bug: Whenever I look up to the sky, Nearly the whole screen goes black, only the upper left area is left visible. When I look back down, the screen returns to normal. I'm running the game on an ati 2600xt.

I tend to turn off steam whenever I play stem cracked game, just to be safe. Don't know if that's even necessary as I know people that have played with steam open and they aren't banned yet.

I have only played the demo but no.. just no.

I can only imagine that you don't like the genre of this game thinking it's dumb (if this isn't the reason, please do share), but really what you're reminding me now is those crying "omg, I don't like stealth, please make Splinter Cell an action title", "omg, I don't like survival horror, please make Resident Evil an action title", etc.

You don't like the genre? DEAL WITH IT DOT GIF EXCLAMATION MARK

Someone else does, let him enjoy the game. And it's a niche genre, it's not like every game becomes like this (see CoD that a lot of publishers want to copy), and you worry that you won't be able to play games that suit your tastes in the near future. Don't like it, don't play it man.

Unless you DO like the genre, but you don't like this specific game. In that case I apologize.

It's not a terribad game, but considerably average.

Reading again my response I might have been more aggressive than I should. Razz

It's just that when I read the "devs please stop" I thought.. what the hell.. this is very unlikely what other developers are doing. These guys are actually making a niche game, so really, if you don't like the genre, don't play it. It's not like everyone is going to copy this.

@H_S: Hehe, you are right, of course posting your opinion is ok, I apologize for how I worded my response.

No worries, on the contrary.. im really just expecting every shooter to be like borderlands or rage.. or stalker.. or metro 2033.. just add something more to the game.. make it sandbox or add an inventory, or add survival elements, dont know, add something !!
whatever sticks to the traditional fps formula - cyberpunk/post-apocalyptic/ww2 or whatever it is - it sucks and deserves to die Smile) so yeah..
but anyway, i do envy you guys that can still enjoy much more games than i can.. at the end of the day you're having fun and i'm sitting here being bored and boring -.-

I thought I was reading myself there. Smile

It all got f*cked up in this generation. I can't have fun playing games anymore. Sad

However, I did enjoy Hard Reset's demo a lot.

Me too Very Happy

This game is soooo good, I'm having so much fun!! Very Happy

One thing only sucks: the story. It's absolute mumbo jumbo nonsense. Very Happy Good thing it's limited to the cutscenes, and it doesn't take away from the awesome gamepl err GUNplay experience Smile

BTW I seem to get points to upgrade my guns at a much slower pace than the demo (I'd say about 1/2? or 1/3?) which was something that worried me a little, that I'd get all the weapons in the first couple of hours. But this doesn't seem to be case. Smile

I love how the environment can kill my enemies... or... it can kill me if I am not careful and/or the enemies put me in a corner trapped with explosives!! That's not something you often see in games.

Really awesome game so far! So Much Win

The reviewer on gamespot said that you can't unlock all of the weapons with just one play through.

The crack doesn't even alter the exe, of course it works. The game doesn't have any protection except for the Steam one I think, so the crack consists only of those steam "emulator" files.

Does anybody know what the console allows you to do with the game?

The console is disabled in the full game, they're fixing a few bugs that made the game unstable and glitchy when it was used so it'll be fixed in the first patch if all goes well.

EDIT: Or so I've read, I just woke up so I've not done much of anything so far.

Finished the first level, agree with the above comments also, it is a standard FPS shooter but I'm having a lot of fun so far. Razz
(Did poorly during the demo but I learned and improved so now I started on insane directly, die quite often but I did finish one level at least, finally after several tries. )

I died all the time on easy in the demo, I still do die all the time however now it's due to the increase in difficulty level but the game will last quite a while at this current rate though I wanted to see if I could manage it.
(Like in one instance I was walking between two areas and then there's a explosion and I just die, was more careful in the second attempt to pass this area and managed to notice the little robot that suicided me but I didn't kill him fast enough so I died again, since he was so close though I would also have died if I had managed to take him out I guess.)

(And that room/area from the demo where the first large wave of enemies appear certainly took a bit of luck, those large ramming / shockwave robots can take half your ammo before falling though I'm having no problems with those small saw robots but I imagine it's only due to the open space thus they're easy to avoid, also nearly required to use environmental traps and similar.)

EDIT: Unsure how varied enemies are but even just two of those large robots together pose a significant challenge, focusing mostly on character upgrades but I only got two points so far so I've barely done anything other than improve the radar. Razz

Graphics are indeed good, but insane gameplay ... I'm loving it. Just finished part II, the last fight was intense, died once on it. I haven't played a shooter, in which I died in single-player for a very, very long time. This brings all current AAA titles to shame, if you ask me (as far as single-player experiences go).
