What an awesome game. I'm going to leave it for a few weeks or months though. It's way too buggy. The performance is pitiful and the random crashes are extremely annoying.

I hope they sort the bugs out soon since the gameplay is ace Very Happy

Usually i get more then enough fps on UE3 games, but this one...

Everything maxed out, no framesmoothing.

God dammit this game AI suck big Dee. This game is awesome with its gameplay and could be one of the really good games in MP, but not with Bots. They are so useless and dumb...

You seem to have artifacts as well. Badly installed drivers maybe?

Well, you certainly have some mild artifacts judging by your first two screenshots. I never had these jagged zig-zagged lines.

Sausje: He no trolling you Very Happy, to me the gfx look most defo incorrectly looking. Very washed out, edging issues on foliage etc, its not rendering correctly to my eyes. This would also reflect with you're low fps on a system that should do alot better.

Seeing as its the latest drivers you are using and that type of game engine and game just released try turning of Cat AI. Otherwise I would try a different driver, what you have to remember sometimes is that when games are developed they are done so using older drivers by time the game gets to you. Then the driver folk or game folk go about updating/optimizing for the today's software.

Performance should be better than what those screens show (And there should be no artifacts.) with that sort of system, it's barely above the framerate I get with everything enabled which is strange since I use a older Core2Quad CPU and a 4890 card.
(11.9 drivers and today's 11.8 CAP4 though.)

EDIT: Slightly higher resolution though but that alone should not cause such a difference.
(6800 series is mid-range but still two generations above my card.)

Well thats indeed strange, makes me wonder what causes it?
I uninstalled the game and shift del the iso atm, donno if its worth trying with 11.9 drivers then?
But i doubt that it has to do with 11.8 drivers..

sausje I have 6870 and i5 2500k and it's very smooth (40fps+) on 11.8 drivers. My friend got almost identical system that I have and he's not having problems either...

max settings with custom config edits to remove any blur, ambient occlusion, bloom, DoF, etc.

just tried and didn't like it at all , i got owned a lot and they even killed me when i was behind cover and if you try to run they pick you of too that's not even considering the mortar spam
also the shooting mechanics are clunky , the physicality in moving and climbing is kinda cool but not really useful , it just felt like a camper orgy to me

oh and it also runs like shit

:waits to be called a noob Smile :

By the way there's an MP crack out there that works perfectly.

I played earlier with 40 players and it was quite fun, though for some reason I started with a PPSH-40 on the AXIS side. Oo

Would you guys say playing the SP is worth it? Or should I stay away from it and wait till I buy the game next January (depending on patches/fixes etc.).

A very good game, I warmly advice everyone to try it. I think there's going to be some kind of free trial after various patches.

The biggest bug for me is that stats don't update, or maybe one out of fifteen tries they do. This gives you a disadvantage due inability to obtain better weapons/perks. I also suggest using Steams own server browser, as it works flawlessly compared to that in-game browser. Just launch the game, alt+tab and connect via steam.

Tripwire Interactive is a group that deserves support. Even their company president writes and comments posts on their forums regularly. Buy it! RO:O was buggy as hell at first!

Huh?

Steam client lists both RO & RO2 servers. The in-game version is just too buggy for me and doesn't even list every server, sometimes none.
