Animals have sex as soon as they're sexually mature - that'd be around 13-14 years old for humans (from a physiological standpoint)? Or how Mo' married Aisha when she was 6 and consummated the marriage when she was 9 (she had to scrape off sperm off his mantel before that though, between playing with dolls).

I just love the liberal goodie two-shoes who just scream: 'cultural relativism!', when sth like that occurs. In some muslim parts of Africa they still preform female genital mutilation, but it's in their culture, so that makes it ok?

Oh yeah that's something everyone can agree on, hopefully - what I meant to say (just like Leo I'd wager) is that ephebophilia is not the same thing as pedophilia at all, the former having been considered normal for the vast majority of our history and only recently tagged as abnormal/criminal behavior. To me, a 20 yo. guy having sex with a 15 yo. girl is not the same as an adult having sex with a prepubescent child (no matter what the gender/age differences) - but if that 20 yo. guy gets caught, he's branded a pedophile all the same.

ugh, seriously? perhaps your grasp of the english language is poor, or maybe you misunderstood what i was saying, i dont know... the original post questioned whether one is similar to the other (rape vs revenge stabbing), and i simply argue that they are not, because one is a reaction to an event, and the other is an unwarranted one.
one is revenge for the crime, whereas the other is a wilful and unjustifiable attack.
the fact that they are both a 'crime' is not being debated, and im not saying she shouldnt be punished - she needs to be ready to accept punishment for her actions - but "reaction" does NOT have to mean that it wasnt planned, so i really dont see what was 'crap' about my response.

Well that's what you say. The police and judge will probably think something else... because the law tells them that murder is very bad. Apparently you have become mentally disturbed or deranged since your child has been raped, because you insist on murdering someone. Then it is also your responsibility to have yourself treated by mental health professionals.
What this all is about I think is personal revenge. And I don't think revenge and justice are the same thing. At least not anymore since people stopped swinging in trees.

I would cut pedos throats myself. In my book, there is nothing that can justify sexual abuse of children. I have a 3 yo son, and if some pedo would abuse him, i would kill that sick fuck on the spot. End of story.

I do NOT condone predatory paedophilia (all outlived paedophilia is predatory) under any circumstance. I think paedophilia must be as close to a curse as you can get. Your brain tells you, strongly, that you should have sex with children, and the urges (from what I've read) are quite often unbearable. So they have a psychological chronic illness that makes them monsters and predators. The overwhelming majority never touches a child thanks to self-control, a sense of what's right and wrong, and disease-awareness. Then there's the predators who can't stop themselves. They have burned their bridges and should be under some kind of surveillance, not as a punishment but as a precaution to save future victims. The ones not stepping over the line? They should be helped by cognitive behavioural therapy, medicines that deaden the sex drive and still the urges, given the choice of chemical castration (which further limits hormone output).
Unfortunately society condemns all paedophiles no matter what, and this is unfortunate since it force people to hide it from society and the pressure of living with such a curse with a society that would burn you at the stakes if it could, feeling the hate from everyone, incl. their own families, is probably enough to push many over the limit. It's a complex issue. The fact is that people are either born with a certain paraphilia or acquires it during the early years of life when the sexual identity is being formed. We can't execute them just because they've been cursed by a psychological disorder, we can't put them in prison if they haven't done anything.

And "you people"? What people? And what has this got to do with bleeding heart? I just propose a more intelligent approach which may actually save future victims instead of creating more which is usually what ignorance tend to do.
