Game seems somewhat smoother with the latest patch, but I seem to be getting more lockups as well (not a whole lot, just a few every now and then) - anyone else getting the same?

I just replaced p2p crack with SKIDROW release. Anyone having dialog problems after performing a fresh install ? I'm also curious if sr distribution files are different from p2p.

Just to verify I tried skidrow crack too, and it indeed crashes every time if picking left option in dialog wheel (tried with fresh new game, crashed when I talked to receptionist).
Also, it's an exe issue. If skidrow dlls are kept and only crack is replaced with version from unnamed cracker, it works fine.
P.S.
And to confirm: both items packs are active in skidrow version.

They could as well fix their Portal 2 Update 4 & 5, Update 3 is the last playable version...

Also fix AvP update 4-6, because update 3 is the last playable version.

I think someone else (consolitis?) already posted some of this here, but anyway:
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2011-09-19-deus-ex-boss-battles-outsourced
Quote: | In a video posted online, below, Grip boss Paul Kruszewski admitted creating the boss battles was a tough job.
"Full confession: I'm a shooter guy," he said. "I was coming into this not knowing a lot about the Deus Ex world." | It showed.
Quote: | But Kruszewski had a word of advice for players struggling with Deus Ex's boss battles.
"There is a flow to these guys. We think there is a lot of fun. You've got to figure out what their OODA loop is. You've got to get in that and it's going to work out. | Indeed.
The flow of "use those damn explosives".

Come on, the boss fights were not that hard, and for me, they weren't as out of place as Darrow's 180.

Well, I sure as hell didn't find them hard.
And they we're completely out of place as soon as they didn't allow you to knock down your opponents(and yes, I know that the original DX was nearly the same, but this was something that the prequel could have improved).
I chose to ignore them almost completely, hence my generous use of explosives in each boss fight.
I didn't use a frag mine/grenade outside of a boss fight.
As for who's to blame, of course it's EM, I don't think anyone is disputing that.

They didn't ruin the experience for me but they surely were annoying, poorly made and completely out of the context (being inspired by MGS2 is a good thing, but copying every single aspect of that game wasn't mandatory)

I blame no one, boss fights were not that out of place, if you ask me.

The boss fights weren't that bad. It did suck abit though if you did not build up your guy for combat. Still doable though.
