it's totally crazy. In jungle, Act III, waves of zombies are just too strong and fast, you get killed almost at once with melee weapons. Unbelievable, I can beat them all with hands after having kicked them down on the ground.

Dont know if this works for you guys, im on the unpatched. If i press Y, i can "fly" with wsad keys, through walls, in the sky, hiper fast, then go to a stance near a surface press Y again and "land" on there... I try not to use it cause it kills emersion completely, but for ppl with "stucking" probs could be helpfull.

Yeah, that's the infamous noclip feature of the first (dev) version of the game (steam and RLD).

Oh, ok thanks. The new patches fix the "missing object bla-bla" error on the abandoned hoje in the city?

boy this game sux!
i can say a lot, but i won`t. i haven`t read the whole thread but i`m sure that in the last 131 pages a lot of people gave enough arguments why console fps developers should be shot and why we all should piss on their bodies. and i thought i was downloading a fps GAME.. haha silly me..

Actually if you read you would find a lot of people loved the game, even with its technical issues and unpolished state. Not GoTY material but a fun and satisfying game nevertheless.

don`t blame me - i even bought a goddamn video card for this game! thats why im so pissed!
i expected more.... just this time i expected something new.. innovative... or at least some fucking freedom. but telling me that i can break down the zombies into million little pieces (haha) and i cannot even kick a goddamn bag out of my way...
the reason i`m "hating" is because im sick of all those dumbed down shooters that started to appear in the last couple of years. so what if it looks pretty? if i want to look at something pretty i`ll watch a movie. but when i install a game i expect a GAME, not a "click-on-the-badguy interactive movie". did you ever wonder what made Minecraft so popular? i`m sure its not the graphics.
in 1999 i was wondering how will games look in ten years with the new technology ... i was dreaming of endless levels with almost unlimited freedom of what you can do in a game....
and in 2011 we`re back to those arcade games that had one big gun instead of controls and the bad guys just jumping in front of you and all that is left for you is to shoot the bastard.
the only different thing here is that you can move the character. thats it.
so yeah, i`m pissed off

Maybe you got your expectations too high from that glorious cinematic trailer?. When I saw that trailer I said, "yeah gorgeous" but I knew the game woudln't reflect that. My expectations were kept at bay and I was pleasantly surprised in the end.
It's the same approach I'm taking with the upcoming Rage. Hopefully I'll get the same result.

usually even my english is better than this, forget the arguments.
i never saw the trailer. i just expected something more than CoD shooter, that only allows you to move and shoot. because this is fun for exactly 20 minutes.

Were you expecting advanced flanking tactics in a zombie shooter?

tactics - no. freedom - yes. atmosphere - yes. innovation - yes.
HL series, Metro 2033, Bioshock (1), DOOM 3 - all straightforward games in the meaning that they are not sandbox. so how do they manage to be such good games? I don`t know the answer, i`m asking. all i know is that in THIS game (and all of the CoD games o far) the main point is to click the Mouse1 button and watch out for enemy bullets using WASD. thats it. only the background and the skin of the enemy are different.

There's plenty of freedom in DI, I don't know what you're talking about. You keep going on about shooting and it being a "CoD game" which is just retarded... there's not even any looters for at least the first half of the game and when they DO show up, they sure as hell aren't "same enemies with different skins"

It might be structured into levels and you do follow along the games story but other than that you are free to progress as desired, I'd call that very open ended albeit the level structure means it's several smaller sandboxes than a full virtual island but it matters little.
(And means they can make the areas more diverse and unique which is accomplished pretty well.)

For the life of me I know I read somewhere on how to modify something (script or xml file or something) to have the weapon mods show up on a vendor somehow but I can't find it. Can someone point me in the right direction on how to set that up please? Thanks!
I've tried the steam forums but I keep getting different results for actual "mods" as in, increased realism or something along those lines.

To be honest with you I'm getting kind of bored of this game. I finished it once with my friend and now it just feel boring. My play hours are about 24.4 hours.
I might remove it in front of some of upcoming games I'm waiting for.

Of course I will shift-delete it when I'm done with it. I do the same for every game I play except for the ones with persistent multiplayer (Battlefield) or exceptional games (Portal 2, DXHR, still on my hard drive and will be for long time). Oh, I also keep Crysis for benchmarking.
