|
 |
Hey guys.
I am trying to get the most out of my Sennheiser headset and as such I thought that it would be reasonable to buy a headphone/headset amplifier rather than using a full-fletched amplifier, although I have absolutely no idea where to look.
Is there anyone on the forum that are knowledgable regarding the subject? Would really appreciate some tips.[/list][/i]

Asus Xonar DG, it has built-in headphone amplifier on the card. Also its damn cheap, costs like 25-30euros in here finland. Its more than enough for your sennheiser headset (this soundcard can drive headphones up to 150Ω).

EDIT: What kind of sennheiser headset you have? What i have seen, they dont make headsets that has ridiculously high impedance, so they dont need dedicated amp.

Asus ROG dedicated card is shit even compared to real X-FI separate card. Asus just made integrated card with PCI-E slot + Shiny ROG logo.

This.
It's getting too boring, by repeating that this combo is pretty much 'end game' for 99% of listeners.
If you decide to buy L30, just make sure that it has serial at least 2012.... Older models should NOT be used due to their design flaws in terms of DC and ESD protection. If you happened to buy such revision, contact your seller and you should get a new fixed one for free.
