i find the UI rather good, its better if u use a controller.. broken sound? had none of that yet, as far as this package goes everything from it is a great release and works.. Its just a little different but in a nice way..
plug in controller beat shit up! fantastic

The combat in this game is ass and using a gamepad doesn't fix that.
If you want a more actiony MMO, Tera Online or even Vindictus is better. Though Tera is just in Korean beta so the majority of people won't get in so I guess this is something to pass time with if you're really that bored.

your extremely fucking fussy and always have been lol...
the combat is fine, you must have fat fingers and find gamepad use a chore..

Nope, sorry. Using a gamepad does not change how the combat is designed.

tis not hard though is it? right and left trigers open up diff sides to the bar then u press the color buttons for the skill/item you want to use.. I find that rather neat idea..

Well, sometime sound drops completely after a cutscene. And sometimes there's that bell ringing tone in loop when someone tries to comm you (your mentor/mission giver is calling you). Very annoying and only fix for those two issues has been restart the game. Which isn't problem now, but back then when on peak times there were queues of 200-300 it was an issue
Maybe they fixed it already. There was a patch yesterday but I hadn't time to play since then, so I don't know.
Also regarding the combat it looks quite fluid, is definitely more action than clicking on "action" bars in other games like WoW. But its not definitely perfect. For instance if you press button before previous action has finished, you queue next attack.
On the other hand it encourages you to execute your combos more carefuly and avoid button-mashing. You queue more attacks than you should have, and you combo screw up. Perfect example of this is Dual Wield where you can execute Whirlwind combo by attacking I believe 8x or 9x normal attacks and then HOLD normal attack button. If you button mash through this combo and you queue more attacks than you should have, then your character won't do whirlwind.

Have you seen the stupid things you cant do when having a free2play account...
Seriously, people bashing on WoW when they do this kind of shit but now DC does it and nobody complains -.-'

Few days ago i saw a video of the character creator & customization.. and uh... what the hell is that crap..
After playing Champions Online in which you can customize everything... the face.. the body.. all the colors... + hundreds of items to wear in their various textures and different styles... the creation in DC seems.. so pathetic... It seems you can't even adjust how big the female boobs are... lol
hype for the f2p just went to zero..

well consider that it is a much more graphic heavy game than CO, and they allow bigger battles and more players than CO. i've personally seen pvp battles with up to 200 people duking it out, with almost no lag/graphic issues. CO wouldn't be able to do that.
And you unlock costume pieces as you play, so in the end you'll have way more styles to choose from then you can handle.
Sure theres no sliders and such, but thats because of the PS3 and its inabilities.
DCUO is a great game, have been playing since launch and this F2P is the right thing to do for them, mostly because it adds a no-time-or-level-limit-trial that the game has badly needed.
and beside being a Superhero themed game it doesn't really compare to CO, DCUO is an AAA title and CO is not.
