Why is this thread called "inferior"? Shouldn't it be superior?

Id say its superior because you can play games in higher res and choose between gamepads (or use the keyboard)

I tried playing SM galaxy 2, doesn't feel superior at all when a game is designed for the Wiimote. I thought there'd be more games working with teh classic mote thing, or whatever it's called. Even Zelda doesn't work with the classic thing, so I have to get the GC version which doesn't even have 16:9 support.
It might be superior if the game supports a proper pad instead of the Wiimote bullshit, but SM galaxy and Zelda don't Sad

But you can use the Wiimote on PC as well, you just need a BT dongle... And then you have the wanted controls AND upscaled graphics Cool

This! Silly Mister_S, you can use REAL hardware on the PC too! Very Happy As for whether it's superior or not? Ehh... it's subjective and wholly dependant on the game in question. Some games, that run at full speed and exhibit no crashes/glitches, yes; superior to play on Dolphin;

Better gamepad support (PS360 > Classic/Pro)
Save-states
Higher INTERNAL resolution. Not upscaled but actually rendered higher.
ISO support for Gamecube titles Very Happy
Custom visuals

Well no, but if you want to play ALL Wii titles and you don't have a real machine.. it's your best option. Bluetooth USB dongle and a Wiimote will probably set you back around $30, tops.

So has anyone tried The Oregon Trail yet? It came out yesterday and the game is almost impossible to find information about it - even Nintendo's own website doesn't have ANY info! The only TOT info they have is for the DS's DSiWare version. Bizarre. I also looked around and couldn't find any Dolphin-related info. I grabbed the ISO (scrubs down to 300MB from 4.3GB. PAD ALL THE DISKS!) but it doesn't load on any of the three versions of Dolphin I've tried it on, all just get stuck on an everlasting loading screen.

Dolphin r7719m-x64
Dolphin 3.0-96filthy-x64
Dolphin 3.0-204-x64

All the same Sad

Has anyone had any trouble with Dolphin 4.0 and getting mouse *and* 360 controller to work at the same time? It used to work perfectly on every single version of Dolphin up until the release of 4.0, now you can only have one or the other - not both. So it's either Wiimote and ALL attachments on keyboard/mouse, or it's Wiimote and ALL attachments on 360 controller - not mixed.

~edit~

Never mind, found it... nice "change" guys >_<

https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-using-a-mouse-as-the-wiimote-and-a-logitech-controller-as-a-nunchuck

You now have to change input and hit "refresh" in order to change controls.
