"unlimited" license and why I call it that is probably valid only until you run out of ammo as you can't do much more after that from how I've understood it without subscribing to "Warden" status. (Which costs quite a bit.)

I don't know J - its $12 USD for 4 months access - that's $3 a month, which is dirt cheap in my opinion. I'm giving serious thought to subscribing myself - it really is a beautiful game (even if multiplayer instances aren't in yet).
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

Seen from that perspective you're right, I might have over priced it a bit, sorry.
(Made it sound more expensive than it actually is.)
It's a interesting concept though and it'll be interesting to see what they can add to the game in terms of weapons, accessories and new game to hunt. (Predators would give a bit of challenge and weren't poaching mentioned?)

no idea not played it for weeks,, but i know there is a sprint (go faster) key, but you scare the crap out of everything anyway like that.. If your seeing 2 speeds of movement with the keys ur using one must be right..
You got a crouch which makes ur move slow and stealthy.,, your normal upstanding walking and a quicker walking/run mode.. Maybe its due to what your holding at the time? try changing from gun to hunters mate etc ..

Just checked and there's a membership monthly payment too in addition to the free pass which offers lots of new things, of course.

Most game features (quest tracking and stuff) seems accessible from the website, does it have an in-game equivalent? In other words, does the cracked version contains everything one playing online and paying would have (except multiplayer of course) or it's simply a offline version of the free part of the game?
Wondering if I should start a new game legit, or cracked.

Just tried HI2U release. Using settings.exe don't seems to save settings. It always stick to 800x600 and is ugly to look at. Also, as I had guessed, it don't seems to have mission tracking system like on the website with an online account.

Got the same problem, the config file seems alright too. Very strange.
Edit: If you login from thehunter.com just once, the settings will save.

You are right, I create an online account use the website to start a quest and launch the game, which launch the settings screen and settings are saved. The new problem is, there is no items available in the list (there was tons of them launching the game manually), it spawn you someplace (probably quest-related) but as soon you start it say you are leaving mission area and you will be respawn at the lodge. There is no "doc" that I should follow based on the quest visible, and my character have hands position set to hold an invisible gun. Is there any way to play the game with quests working using the cracked version?

I played this game once. After 2 hours of wandering like an idiot I didn't manage to spot, yet alone shoot a deer. I tried to shoot myself but you can't.

How to use graphics settings:
Apply your settings on Settings.exe
Go to - C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Roaming and rename "TheHunterSettings_local" into
"TheHunterSettings_live"
Unless you start from and are registered on the website, you cannot choose your hunting area, and have limited inventory items to choose.

About This Game
Hunt - Explore - Survive
Step into a huge Jurassic world (24 km2 / 9.3 mi2) where the very environment will challenge your survival skills.
theHunter: Primal is a new member in the highly popular theHunter Franchise created by Expansive Worlds and Avalanche Studios. Since the release of the original game over 4.5 million players have played the game!
theHunter: Primal offers both singleplayer and multiplayer modes (up to 16 players), and you can make each game session private. For a real challenge join or create a PvP session, but for players that want to focus on cooperation you can turn PvP off.
In theHunter: Primal players begin with very limited equipment. You need to explore the island in search of more powerful weapons, clothing and equipment. Sounds easy? Well not only is the island littered with poisonous plants, but deadly dinosaurs roam the island looking to feast on the weak.
Only the foolish will challenge the mighty Tyrannosaur Rex alone. Careful planning, cooperation and backpacks filled with ammo and weapons is needed to bring this beast down. But watch out! The island is also populated with highly intelligent Utahraptors traveling in packs. Like wolves they communicate and work together to bring down a lonely hunter. Make sure to check you six! Want a more peaceful hunt? In that case the Triceratops might be an easier prey.
The game features a persistent inventory system, which means that what you collect in one game session is available in another. But alas, this comes with a price. If you die, all your equipment is lost, but if you are fast enough you can claim back your lost backpack before another hunter loots your stuff. For the more helpful players, we have made sure that you can share items with your other hunters.

(Wonder how many players named Turok the game will get... )
(Although the Carnivores series of "hunting" games is probably closer to what this attempts though I wouldn't mind the comeback of the Cerebral Bore.)
