True. They had enough trouble with managing a couple of hundred thousand (my guess) CoH keys in the past week-end.

WTF, earlier I logged into Origin and the beta was there ready to download, I downloaded about 15%, closed Origin by accident and now it's not there anymore.

It's not EA's fault. Some keys were blocked / taken away access because they weren't supposed to be given out by those "sources".
