ok THAT makes a lot of sense... damage degradation over distance. cool, thanks.
i do not understand the second bit though...

It's so lame that they closed the Caspian Border servers, I didn't get a chance to play it and metro map belongs on COD.
Also why no conquest? Rush sucks.

i prefer the slug one: mid range ownage, but you need a very sharp aim.

havent played much with shotguns yet, but i dont think close combat rounds are good, i mean, how often do you come close to an enemy without being seen and shot at lol ^^

yeah but in bf3 you die so quick from anything, you are rarely in close combat , usually people are quite far from each other, maybe in some maps shotguns become more handy, but in metro you have a lot of long corridors, where shotguns are rather useless (with CQ rounds, different with slugs/flechettes).
Just my sense speaking ^^

What is underslung rail on AR for exactly? It says it's for mounting grenade launchers/underbarrel shotguns etc. How do I do that?

Had to delete the file and let the game recreate it, otherwise it wouldn't go past the "initializing ..." when connecting to a server.
I might have made a mistake when I changed the value but I think not.

You get the nadelauncher after some progress on the assault class. The rifle then needs the underslug rail and you can pick the launcher on the medi-bag slot

Why would you use Flechette over Buckshot? Rarely someone survives 1 hit from buckshot from 10-20m..?
What penetration does it improve? If someone is wearing vest or something?

I'm curious about that too.
Hmm found this : Goes through thin walls and soldiers, which normal buckshot doesn't. But at a price: flechettes do less damage

Does it say anything about slugs? Do they do the same damage as buckshot, but at 1 point without spread?
