im kinda new to jtag'ed xboxs. can someone explain to me what to use to transfer this game to my xbox. can I just ftp it somewhere on my hdd? where do I put the nxe files?. then do i just run nxe2god after that?
Yes. FTP the files to your JTAG box.
put the files in Hdd1/Content/0000000000000000/425307EC/00004000/ Directory. Once there just run NXEtoGOD and you should be good to go.

The games not half bad actually - definitely feels just like Borderlands with a bit more polish.

Just got home from work and currently extracting files to my JTAG as we speak. I've been looking forward to this game ever since it was first shown.
that worked for me. i agree its definately like borderlands but I think its way better. I like the graphics style better and the animations for all the npc's are really good. fun interesting story so far
So one more question for you guys in the know. Do I put disc 2 in the same folder as well?

I haven't had a look at the files yet, but I intend to extract them all. Put them in 3 folders on HDD and use dashlaunch to do the swapping like I did with LA noire.
ya there is a goofy card game in the game. kinda like a dumbed down version of magic. you can buy a starter deck and then there is a guy to learn how to play from in the bar in wellspring.
Can someone tell me if there is a way to access an overworld map? Theres a little map when in the buggy but I havent seen an map of the whole world.
Seriously though, people don't seem to be sharing reviews like we used to. maybe we are all too busy playing the many games we have, or i feel more likely that these type of fps games are all quite similar, and although this seems very nice nothing else to report other than 'it's good' definitely worth a play!
I must admit i think the graphics are some of the best quality i've seen on the 360, but i have only played 30 mins so i can't give much more sorry..

When I played it at Eurogamer, you get to drive a buggy of sorts and if you slam into an object you fly out the car! Reminds me of Flatout when the driver flies through the windscreen. lol its funny and never gets old!
Graphics
for a 360 game they are some of the best. the enviroments are colorful and very detailed. The overworld is a little bland atleast in the first few hours I have played but the towns and enemy enviroments quite detailed and have a lot to see and do. The only problem I have with the graphics is the constant texture popping. When you turn quickly you will notice the close up texture are really low res and then after a second they shows the high res version.
Gameplay
The gun combat is quick and fun. the enemies are tough and smart. they realize when they are getting beat and will retreat to find better cover. There animaitons are really fluid. They remind me of how players move in madden. they react really well to your gun fire. The gadgets and fun as well. the wingblades or whatever its called are really cool. The driving is ok. seems a little floaty but it works fairly well. most of the missions are fun and quick. nothing really long. overall the gameplay reminds me a lot of borderlands
Presentation
The story and world are great. This is prob the best part of the game. the characters you talk to are very believable. The story has a lot of backing and it really feels like what could be a real future.
Other stuff
I think the only other thing I will mention is the save system. Frankly it sucks! Its my biggest annoyance with the game. It autosaves between loading screen but that's it. So if you enter a level and play 90% forget to manually save and die you get sent all the way back to the beginning. Plus in some missions you are not allowed to save! Luckily the levels arent too huge but it can be frustrating to lose 15-20 minutes of progress. Or have to play through 4 levels of Mutant Bash TV to be beat by the boss and then have to go back through the first 4 levels again to get another chance at him. The option to save during this section is turned off so you have to repeat a lot of work. Its like they ripped the save system out of a 6 year old game and just jammed it into this game. I don't expect a auto save every time I kill an enemy but at least save between sections of a level.
