I want to stay away from all this stuff. I did that mistake with DS (I saw many boss walkthroughs before I even got the game) and that sort of magical feeling of discovery was gone. I would imagine I would react quite differently if I didnt know 5-2 is a poisoning swamp, but instead I read some walkthroughs and stocked up on healing items. SO for this game I am going to stay in the dark until I get my hands on it. I want to get owned by the unknown.
One boss I didnt read a walkthrough about was the dragon god, and he scared me ( i mean he was fucking huge), but in the end he turned out to be a giant pussy.

The game is grand! I love the intensity, it has a certain MMORPG feel to it where you KNOW that if you target and pull that next, giant, unknown demon, you have a hefty price to pay and it's not just reload 'n go again. Seems getting items is a little easier this time around than it was in DeS, but the mobs are harder and you get up close and personal with HUGE beasties real quick this time around!!
Love the new boar's helm I got from a .......boar last night! (roasted him with black bombs)
This game is fucking brilliant... I loved Demon's Souls so color me biased, but I am having an absolute fucking blast with this game. The sense of dread is palpable as you walk through tight corridors and turn darkened corners. I have jumped a few times already and that rarely happens to me (especially in a videogame).
If the content is there, and I think it is... and the gameplay is there, oh fuck yea it is... then this is going to end up being one hell of a ride.
On a side note though, Im playing on 360 because I thought maybe I could talk a friend or two into picking it up, and Im noticing quite a bit of slowdown... Anyone with the PS3 copy experiencing the occasional slowdown or does it run smooth like butter?
The game has slowdowns on both platforms. According to DF the most noticeable frame drops on each platform are foggy areas on the x360 and intensive physics, like breakable objects, on PS3.
I don't have a chance in this game. Made it to the first real boss and he utterly rapes me and i won't bother running 10 minutes each time i want to give that impossible boss a try. What the fuck do i do when i run out of potions? restart the whole game?
@Stormwolf Get better and use less potions. Also you can spend humanity to get extra potions. But that is not a permanent upgrade, so only do it if you really need to.
I need to use atleast 1 potion from the bonfire to the boss because of random stuff, but the boss swipes the whole fucking wall when he hits. No chance knowing what he'll do and it results in me losing a good 80% hp.
Are you on Taurus demon? Go up to the tower beforehand, kill the archers and then go out and draw the Taurus. Get on the tower and do a plunging attack on him, and afterwards roll under his legs and run towards the other end, he'll turn around and do a big slamming attack at which you can roll under his legs again and repeat. Should kill him in 3 or 4 hits.. easy!

Sorry to spread misinformation, but the kindling of bonfires is in fact permanent but only to the specific bonfire that you kindled. Might have been obvious to some but took me a few hours to figure that out
I have a problem. I burned my game on a disc and it won't start. Simply the screen goes black for a second and goes back to dashboard. What's wrong? L.A. Noire worked perfectly. I'm on 360.
Tried some more, but this game doesn't allow practice. Now my single weapon is ruined.. Fuck this game.
it rapes you every time u made a mistake...I die too , a lot..but I love it , makes me determined to kill them all..

I'm at Undead Parish with my Sorcerer and it's super easy mode on bosses and mini bosses when it's 1v1. Didn't even get hit by the Asylum/Taurus demons without cheesing them, but god damn do Sorcerers suck against more than 1 enemy. Died about 5 times against normal enemies with him

I thought you already have LT 2.0 , you need to flash it..but I think there is no LT 2.0 for hitachi..yet.. This is a new disc format we are talking about , so flashing is a must.
