Hope it's being made on a modified engine and not exactly the one from the first game, in order to achieve the full potential of Mount&Blade. Let's hope for the best. Also, I didn't know about War of the Roses, but it looks promising. I hope the singleplayer campaign will be just as good as the multiplayer, because it's worth nothing to me if it's mostly multiplayer.

I hope it's based on the classic/medieval real world, with dozens of different factions. Apart from the character models, I don't care much for graphical improvements.

This game deserves a big budget. Considering what they've done with limited resources it could turn into one hell of a game. The combat is some of the best I've ever seen from the FPS perspective. Hopefully they can hire more developers for this.

As long as nobody states "coming for consoles" I don't think there's much to worry about, better graphics or not, I'm sure they'll make something great.
WOTR was way too clunky and slow paced for my taste. I am very much looking forward to see how this turns out. Hope it's still the turkish couple who's in charge.
I hope they take the engine from WotR and build the game on that. I also hope this time it has a proper campaign, because I always got bored in the previous games by the time I had a decent amount of soldiers with me. The singleplayer needs something more... maybe an at least decent story.
A LOT of things can be expanded and improved upon, and no doubt TaleWorlds knows that. Hope they've gotten some inspiration from some of the mods for M&B and Warband - there's some great stuff in there.
And heh, I thought about making this thread last night, but then figured some jerk must've done one already like a year ago based on some haphazard rumor. Looks like I was right, totally forgot about this.

they have the funds, question is will they use it on game, considering how lackluster last couple expansions were, pure cash grabs, and how mauch mnb sold
Wtf?
The previous M&B games have massive multiplayer. I think there are even servers with more than 100 slots?
The biggest Warband one I've seen over the last months was 350 players and it was absolutely playable. Sadly, you need a monster rig for that and the server is no more because it was too expensive for the guy to run.
Keep in mind, Warband supported only 64 players (Just like War of the Roses ) when it was released too. It was only over the course of time that people TW figured out to raise it to the extreme.
Well, it managed to load shortly after Aruka linked it. Took about 5 minutes and it didn't load pictures. Clicked the link in the first news item for the media page, and it went 404.
