super 8 was 5.5/10 to me.. pretty boring movie

batman year one 6/10
it was ok... watchable.. had some cool stuff in it, but not as cool as i was (foolishly) hoping.
it really was far far too cheesy to be 'badass'... and not enough 'fun' to be cool popcorn action instead.
i did like under the red hood though, i thought that one was pretty good... but this... was merely 'ok'. not bad, but not great. just another disappointing batman production.
also, i hope that the comic it was based on was better than this, otherwise i just cant understand why people rave about its awesomeness.
oh yeah...
WORST BATMAN VOICE ACTOR EVER. i still cant fathom why conroy isnt automatically the go-to guy for batman, hes easily the best at it, so why fuck with something thats perfect? there were times i honestly thought the voice was being done cheesily on purpose like you sometimes see in comics, but no... it wasnt
even greenwood, who was in red hood, did a much better job... atleast keep HIM if you dont want conroy for whatever reason (ie took too many stupid pills, or fear of making a great movie, etc...)

spl has one of THE best fight scenes EVAR.. him and jacky wu together is one of those badass match-ups you always hope to see, and it was totally worth it.
the movie itself... was ok i guess... but worth it for the fight 
also check out flash point, especially if you love great fight scenes... fuck, anything with my boy donnie is pretty damn enjoyable 
id also suggest invisible target
and if you're cool with jackie chan, new police story. i really liked it, it was a nice change from goofy jackie to something a bit more serious and dramatic... great fights, and... well i guess its not for everyone, but i loved it.

the guard 6.5/10
i quite liked it. i laughed a lot... its quite an understated film though, so i suspect a lot of the bits i laughed at, wouldnt even have registered for a fair few others...
somehow i kinda expected a bit more - its not as great as i was hoping. still really good though.
awesome cast.

If only Id know more people in this movie. I knew most of the classics, but some were still new to me. I guess the more you know about literature, art and movies, the more you'll enjoy this one.
Dazed and Confused 6/10
I liked the atmosphere and all, but story was lacking and at times the movie was all over the place and lacking the funnies. Nice to see some familiar faces here.
Dog Day Afternoon 9/10
It was really an awesome movie. Al Pacino And John Cazale were great. Too bad I was watching it in he middle of the night. Was hard to keep my eyes open for the last 20 minutes of the film or so. At times light hearted, but still quite sad in the end.
