wonder if items and stuff are carried from map to map.
i was ready to buy it, but is still crashing on my work computer. until i manage to run it here, i will hold my money.

if I remember correctly from beta, in campaign, only artifact items (with their experience level) go thru maps. Which makes sense otherwise drops would have to be static so that a character could be completely OP with a couple of maps. In MP, you have to enable artifact items at the map selection screen to enable dynasty or w/e they call it.

Yep.. like i said after i downgraded to 1.0 again it was all fine.

Just play the orcs on the march campaign.

I played through the first campaign the other day and then I find out the orcs on the march expansion IS the first campaign, just with more cool stuff.

Someone said Baal is nerfed in the orcs on the march, I barely got by him by the skin of my teeth but then I skipped an entire island except for the main badguy. Got too bored with it.

I'm trying disciples III renaissance, it's alright so far. I don't think I'm going to try this game.

Wish they'd make another (non-buggy) dark messiah Sad and if they can't fix the balance in these games they should just give up.

How are the city screens look? From the demo I remember a small window with a static picture. Or maybe it wasn't static, but certainly nothing noteworthy.

I read somewhere that this supposed to be changed for the official release. Is it still the same as the demo?

Finally beat the "tutorial" campaign. I just totally ignored the insta-4x Horde spawning Hero, let him run off and take one of my barracks, while I just strolled in and took the last castle with ease.

Anyway, the Necro campaign seems much better so far. The necromancer abilities (raise dead, life leech that heals stacks, battle wide DOTs) seem far more effective and efficient than the shitty tutorial race. I've got no problem with recruitment numbers or keeping almost all of my troops alive through even medium battles.

Basically, I'm going to go out on a limb and say the "tutorial" was 10x more difficult than the first actual campaign. Wonder why?

I did get a nasty bug to where my map will no longer scroll when I move the cursor to the edge. I now have to hold down my middle mouse button to scroll, can't figure out how to fix it. Sad

Maybe. But week ends and there are units in only one city. So i have to have correct hero selected before i end the week.
If its working as intended(copyright blizzard) then its a bit annoying:P

Small window, animated short loop picture, icons to click. That's about it. It's the same as it was in the beta.

I'm playing through the second campaign mission right now (the same one as in the demo) and it's still bugged as hell. One of the heroes just flees, taking with him the shield you were supposed to get (unless you let him recapture the fort, and then kill him, while he can't run away).

The second and more annoying thing is that LUCK is totally bugged out, or am i just missing the point of it. With 2-4 creatures killed on normal, luck triggers, and i kill ... 2 creatures?!? i have never seen (ok in the 2 missions) lucky shots deal more damage then the max they could do.
Unless they changed the mechanics so that luck triggers randomly and your destiny counter saz how much more damage you are gona make (since destiny was like 10% it would kinda make sense)
Not to mention that you can use a whole skill point for lousy 2% luck increase .. some of those skills are pretty useless.

That's disappointing. City screens were kind of a big deal in past Heroes games. Sad to hear that they didn't invest more time on it.

are you sure you are nt cursed ?
there is somethiong wich makes you do only 1 point of damage with creature.

I did get a nasty bug to where my map will no longer scroll when I move the cursor to the edge.
same.
problems is that keyboad is not working either. (used to scroll with arrows or something)

Yup, i'm sure! Like sad, i had like 10% luck. When I mouse over the creature, i get the normal dmg output (let's say 100-150), and likely creature kills (2-4), then i shoot, luck triggers, and i do 110 dmg ... that's nowhere near the 150-225 (if luck is +50% dmg) it should do! and it's like that in every battle luck has triggered ... and it also doesn't do anything when it triggers on a sister when she's healing Very Happy


The screen pan problem i had in the demo...

There is this annoying creature introduced as early as the tutorial as a upgraded form of the inferno creature "maniac" whom saps the stats of whatever creature it hits, eventually unless spells or similar is used the creature has zero defense and zero offense capabilities and will thus do zero damage and take maximum damage.

Still even so luck and morale have rarely given me any major advantage so far, being able to act twice is good but the second time you are a bit restricted and can't move or attack quite as effective.
(Movement boost isn't all too useful either due to the - at least so far - very small battle maps as most any creatures can easily traverse the terrain in less than three turns, as mentioned.)

You need to take your Hero to the town/castle/outpost gates, then your army will appear at the bottom of the selection screen and you can transfer troops to/from.

Double click on them, will usually work, can also drag and drop I believe if you want to fortify the town. Smile

EDIT: Whoops I forgot about the hero and that, can't have lone armies I believe but I could be wrong.

At first i thought i'm gonna own the enemies, because i would just press end turn over and over, till my army is big enough. Sadly that only worked in the tutorial maps Very Happy Now every enemy has like 1600 per unit Laughing
