Finished it. 10 hours or so.

Feels shorter than the first one, less varied than the first one, and well.. shittier than the first one, art direction and otherwise. Also the combat kinda lacks punch, i feel like im a hot knife going through butter, there's just not enough emphasis or oomph to punching people in the face.

Really? Did you ignore exploration and optional objectives?

There's not much exploration to be done, everything looks the same. Did as many of those trophy quests as i could stomach, also got as many riddles. Did about i'd say 1/3 of the side quests, cause i thought i had more time, but then something happens in the game and half of the quests disappear if you didn't complete them by then.

Most of the trophies however require backtracking through entire empty levels (hell i was pissed enough cause i had to backtrack through the same levels twice, even three times), and that's just a lazy way to extend playtime by devs.

I have lt2.0 and, I believe, dash 13164. Do I need to update that dash and will I need to reflash or what? Or does the game install a new dash and leave firmware intact?

Played it for a bit (like 2 hours)
And first of all. It looks gorgeus. Other than graphics this seems to be arkham asylum but in a city... there is too much for me... riddler, side missions. I have enough of these open up games. It seems good so far... I just cant decide if I should concentrate on main story or stop and do all side missions and search for riddler shit

I haven't used my 360 in ages, last games I downloaded were like RDR, FIFA 11, Alan Wake. Played without problem. Never got Black Ops, or any game since then (except a retail copy of Halo Reach), so I don't really know where I'm at in terms of playing new games. I burnt this and got the "This Game Requires An Update But An Update Could Not Be Found". As far as I know I have an NME2 chip AND modified firmware (at least that's what the modder I used told me). How do I go about getting back up to current games?

First you need to update to the latest dash, preferably rewrite you're firmware back to stock, then you need to update that firmware to LT+ 2.0 - you should probably check the last 20 pages of the hacking thread. Wink

game is alright, more of the same really. Not got a real sense of scale for the map yet but it doesn't look all that big, voice acting is pretty terrible though.

4h into the game , it's really great..so much to do , so much to collect , to solve riddles..puzzles..platforming , upgrades , stealth. I died few times cause I wanted to do stealth parts quickly ( many guards with guns in some areas ) , but no..you have to observe location of your enemies and available positions first and then wait for your chance , jesus christ they even put mine fields and taunt you to come after them..and then BOOM.. Mini bosses and bosses encounters are very often , so many characters.. triple takedown Surprised

They build on the first game , I like it..they upgraded the formula that really works great..

The only thing I hate right now is the navigation part in this game. They removed the freaking mini-map and instead dropped in a slider on the top which indicates direction.

Is this more in line with Mafia 2 or GTA4 in terms of exploration/side questing?

Its good, its just that the first was so awesome that expectations were incredibly high I suppose. It just didnt wack me in the face like the first time when I started playing.

Yup, it's not a bad game, the boss battles are really cool and stuff. Worth a verb, definitely.

Part of the problem for me I think is I played Arkham Asylum on the PC and it looked shit hot whereas I'm playing this on the 360 and it looks worse so it feels like a step back.

The voice acting really bothers me though Bruce / Batman sounds like he phoned his lines in, Catwoman sounds cheesy as hell, Penguin appears to be English and only Two Face and Joker sound okay.

I think if you are expecting Arkham Asylum 2 and not a generational leap youll be more than happy Wink so far its more of the same but bigger and thats fine for me. Having a blast playing it.

One question @ Rage

could you please tell me before which villain i should have finished all the sidequests? Because i really want that 100% Wink (and please try to spoil as little as possible Wink)

Without spoiling too much, you should finish the sidequests before Project ten begins. You keep getting ETA reminders every now and then.

This game has really cool new game+. You keep all you gadgets, unlocked upgrades and the enemies are tougher. Probably you can continue your journey to 100% there and collect/solve all of the remaining riddles Smile

This too

The oomph is indeed not there for some reason & to me the game has a distinct lack of polish feel to it which the first game had. Very disapointed with this Sad Also the comic book look to menu`s etc is gone.

Dispite this the game is good, the cut scenes look really good.

Also, I might be really high, but I can't do these friggin AR training jumps! I'm at the 3rd one where you have to drop and I *suppose* grapple before you get to the bottom but I'm just not getting the hang of it :/

I'm having a minor bit of difficulty with navigating to Zsasz's side mission locations. The 1:30 timer is pretty low for some parts. I have completed almost 50% of his trace. Let's see how it goes.
