Crazy Stupid Love 7.5/10, pretty good romantic comedy Smile No match to Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind or Amelie but had some very good laughs Smile

lol, comparing Crazy Stupid Love to Eternal Sunshine? That's hardly fitting... While both are "love movies" in the broader sense, CSU is a romantic comedy, one of those "woman movies" (no offence here, it's just that these movies appeal more to women than men), while ES is more a psychological movie about the importance of love (and the fail thereof). That's like comparing Citizen Kane to Tranformers 3 as it just happened... Rolling Eyes

All three try to handle the love theme and I'm comparing them on that basis. And Amelie was not a womens movie, this just shows me that you haven't seen it Mad And ES "more a psychological movie"? What type of genre is that ...

i really think fincher should have gotten an oscar for this. this or fight club, because he was so totally fucking hitting it so right with those two films, and i really dont think he should have been denied... instead of him doing freakin facebook movies or foreign remakes in his search for oscar glory.

but anyway... se7en... fucking awesome in every way... the twist is the perfect example of how its done, the actors and the acting spot on, tightly made, tightly shot... fucking awesome/10.

there are 2-3 scenes added and some extended stuff, but nothing major i'd say, 5 minutes in total, at 2h42 min it's barely noticable

if you like that you MUST check out the documentary which came with DC dvd, it's really really good, you'll find it on youtube

well if you don't see the movie when it comes out, or within the first 2 years of when it came out and ignore every single asshole on the world wide web spoiling it w/o even considering the fact that they're spoiling it no one in this current generation will see it as twist. A lot of scenes have been recreated, redone, laughed at, mocked to such an extend that even the twist of vertigo is lost to the youth. Crying or Very sad

I however love the kevin spacey twist.

Fincher is brilliant. I don't see how people don't love the social network. it so beautifully crafted. Fincher gets better and better with his craft that it's shocking.

Cypher (2002) - 8/10

I enjoyed it. They used a dark, distant, melancholy, and almost noire style of filming for most of the movie. Basically it's the tale of a man caught up in the world of extreme corporate espionage, with a distinctive Syndicate (the game) feel in certain parts.

Worth a watch.

i so totally agree. i think fincher is a director i'm growing with. he went more subtle and less 'extreme' with his movies but they still deliver in every aspect.
