How exactly is a ridiculous fuck like this not in jail or an asylum? Who saw fit to let this scheming fuck out of jail in the first place?

It's sad, but old (senile) people and bible thumpers must fall for this in the masses.

That's my thoughts exactly, sir. How is he not in jail? He's defrauding countless people, and last time I checked; gullibility isn't an excuse. Just because these poor suckers are too gullible to see a charlatan when they see one, doesn't mean what he's doing is legal and entitled to fleece them.
