What is the use of RU key now?
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

Actually a little correction for you there: there's no deathmatch mode (only team deathmatch) the 5th mode is actually Conquest Large or Conquest 64, yep they differentiate it from Conquest (32 player max).

Still no pre-load for the U.S. - looks like the Euro's lucked out yet again, just like with the beta key invites. Ah well, you guys get shafted on a lot of stuff, so I suppose you deserve a break every now and then heh. |
I pre-ordered the game from U.S back in August (Origin) and I've been preloading for two hours now (yeah shitty speed). You should be receiving your notification e-mail shortly. If not, then contact EA support.

Is there a video card retailer or something similar that sells this game with their hardware (I mean as a cd key for digital download) ?
Something like Batman Arkham City/Arkham Asylum/HAWX 2/Shogun 2 you get the idea.

Swedish CDON.com is selling MSI GTX 580 + BF3 LE but it looks that bundle is made by the store.

One of the main characters in the game is a russian Spetnaz (called Sila or something like that). What I'm not sure about is if he only appears in the book or if he's playable in the video game campaign.

I'm suspecting both U.S and Russian forces try to stop the PLA during most of the campaign, then something happens in the end after the PLA is defeated and U.S and Russia start fighting each other, that would be the "storyline" of the multiplayer (it was said by DICE that the events of multiplayer come after the end of the campaign).

Someone posted a release date check bypass method a few pages back. Well, now that we've got legitimate keys from the preload/install, anyone care to give it a shot?
Edit - Never mind, apparently it was for the physical disk secu-rom date bypass, not origin. I failed.

I couldn't find any such info in the previous pages unless you meant that stuff about VPN, that's not for Origin but the game itself and does not bypass the release date check in any way, it just switches region so you can activate earlier.
(SecuROM, nothing to do with the game at all other than getting the normal exe file.)

I was talking about this stuff posted by PaperTiger on pg. 342 -

If you download the Russian CloneDVD you can decompress the zips and you have the entire game data then. Maybe the below will work now that you have a valid key (if it fails it'll be because of the release date check I suppose)
1) Open bf3.exe so you get the window asking for releasedate check (delete the origin exe file in one of the folders in there, and exit Origin). Don’t close it.
2) Hit up C:\Users\YOUR_USERNAME\AppData\Local\Temp\mtka_tmp and copy all of these to another folder.
3) Now in the new folder (close the activation window now),
4) Open lang_dfa.ini and change ONLINE_MODE to false and MANUAL_MODE to true. Scroll down and change RC_MODE to false.
5) Open temp0_activation.exe
6) Follow the instructions listed and enter YOUR KEY.
7) Then create a SecuROM ActivationRequest.dfa file by going here and downloading this:
http://download.securom.com/support/bioshock2/OfflineActivatorTool.zip
Cool Use the key and newly created activationrequest.dfa to create a .lic file by going here: https://support.securom.com/DFAunlock/
9) Finally, use the activationrequest.lic in the release control unpacker for activation.

That is mostly for offline use is it not, would still fail as it goes through a release day check no?
EDIT: Well not offline but to generate a offline activation key from a computer so it can be activated on another machine that has net access and then brought back to the other computer via SD card or such.

I think you're right - hence the edit to my original post.
Sorry, didn't mean to get everyone worked up, I just remember seeing that post a few days back, apparently I didn't read/analyze it in detail.
