Does anyone know if this game support digital out to receiver for surround? I can't figure it out, going through optical cable to my receiver... THANKS!
I see absolutely no reason why it shouldn't? I mean if sounds works in Windows with the optical out, why wouldn't it work in the game.. ? I've been using optical to a reciever now for a couple of years, it has never not worked
Thanks, but I cannot set the speakers correctly in Windows 7 it seems. If I do the surround test in the properties it works well, but not the game. As you can see from this pic the spekaer icon is greyed out so I cannot choose the number of speakers....
I have a realtek chip that's on my Z68 board. What am I doing wrong?
yeah i resolved freezing and crashing to desktop while playing:) I just uninstall 270 WHQL and install 285 WHQL:) Now game stops crashing. I was thinking that my GPU oC is faulty:) But that was drivers.

That's because they are supposed to be greyed out, so are mine in that window.
The only thing "active" or "colored" is the Digital Audio S/PDIF for me, and I'm also using the onboard sound.. Maybe chose another device in that list as the Default Device?

when i disable hyperthreading in my bios everything works fine.
is there another fix? i dont want to disable it just because of bf3 ;(

my pc should handle the game atleast on medium. (and it does even on large multiplayer maps)
its just in single player mode, even when everything is turned to low. no change at all on low medium or high settings.
not my videos, but it shows the problem.

Playing for 20 minutes and already I'm annoyed. I "get" that it's meant to be stylish, ok, I "get" it .. but that doesn't mean I have to like it, or even accept that it's supposed to be realistic. What? THE GODDAMN LENS FLARE AND "DUST" ON THE LENS. I'm sorry, but are we supposed to be watching a movie, recorded on a camera susceptible to lens flare and dust particles, are are we supposed to be playing as the soldier? Make up your mind DICE, pick one! It's infuriating and distracting seeing dazzling flares all over the screen, then even worse seeing loads of dust and bits of dirt and shit as if we're looking through a camera lens.
... aside from that, the game is outstandingly gorgeous. I'm extremely impressed. Oh and yes, same as you guys; real slow loading times.
Yeah, think developers really misunderstood the whole lens flare thing. Not only does it happen with cameras and not eyes, it only happens to *old* cameras. Really hate how this game and BC2 tries to make it as difficult as possible to see anything with all sorts of fog, dust, bloom, flare, etc.

Anyone else experiencing the ugly stutters while playing MP? You freeze like for half a second. Also happens when scrolling team mates to respawn with, entering/exiting vehicles, etc.
Anyone having audio problems in singleplayer? The sound loops itself like three times and stutter...hightly annoying, otherwise the game runs very well.
yes same problems here... with SB Audigy...
all options tested. Seems to be related with big graphic loads... when replay same part sound is much better.
For those with low-end machines some info:
Game is absolutely playable with very good fps on a 8800gt,q6600,medium settings,1920x1080,AA off and SSAO off ofc.
lo, game is playable for 30 seconds to a min the boom corrupted shadows and sssstuttering, and a weird kind of stuttering cos the frames are high but then I turn it just feels jerky, like it's re-rendering the previous frame skipping the one in the middle before the next... hard to explain
