Liked both episodes, would hate if show transformed into mindless zombie slasher

The first season isnt a "mindless zombie slasher", for the most part it had a great mixture of tension and drama, so that argument doesnt hold up that well (if you mean it would turn into that just because they would remove the whining).

I liked the second episode a lot better than the first. The first was basically setting up for the second episode though.

Still unsure if good news or bad news..bah I'd go for the first one for now
It all depends on the quality of the (next) episodes that haven't been under Darabont's supervision. If they'll be terribad, there's almost no hope for the next season

This latest episode was not just a borefest but really has me not wanting to watch it anymore.
Spoiler: | Why in the hell did Shane kill Otis? I mean i can understand that he was slowing him down but if you think about it Shane was already hurt himself after that fall.
Plus otis saved him from getting bit. |

Great episode imo, very dark. A lot better than the previous two.
rampart:
Spoiler: |
Wasnt that kind of super obvious? They'd leave him alone while they'd concentrate on eating Otis, and he could escape... Loved it, what an asshole! This is the dark stuff i want from this series! |

@ rampart
Spoiler: | How can you say that they would make it either way? The zombies were closing in because Shane was moving too slow due to his injury, and they didnt have enough ammo.
This is fantastic, one of these rare moments you wished would happen more often. On my list were, tell that bish to stfu and that her daughter is a goner, carl dying, Lori dying or dumped for another non-anorexia chick, Shane shooting otis to save himself.
I was cheering and smiling like a sick fuck when Shane said "i am sorry man", and went crazy when he triggered his gun. This show needs more of this. |

Agreed. This will be my last episode. The premise of the show is surviving a zombie apocalype. It shouldn't be pew pew action and gore constantly because that would be boring too, but it shouldn't be constant soap opera drama which is the direction they have gone in. The first few episodes in season 1 were great and were what you expected to see. It gave you a glimpse how you would move about and survive in a scenario like that. Shane and the fat guy getting in and out of the school in the last 2 episodes was also a good mix of action and progressing the story, but that whole part lasted maybe a total of 10 minutes.
Drama is necessary to develop the characters for obvious reasons but damn, it seems like they've decided to focus mainly on the characters and the minute bullshit and it's just boring.

Surprised it got renewed for a third season so.. fast! WOW.. Must be getting killer ratings..
Btw, anyone noticing in the last few years the massive influx of Zombie Apocalypse movies? The 80s were about Vietnam, 90s about asteroids, now we're all about Post-Apocalyptic it seems.

Awesome episode, I'm glad the derps are having a hard time. Hopefully they will give up so I don't have to read "Needs moar pew pew pew" any more.
Also, rewatching episode 2, I only just noticed that Merle's drug bag contains some of Walter White's chemically pure product. The effects guys must have taken some when they did the gore fx in the BB finale

We complain about the crappy drama portrayed by shitty actors, yes it probably means we like pewpew.
