Dude, dont skip it because of the "bad" graphics, the gameplay is fricking awesome! You will miss out on a AAA game if you skip it.

The game looks perfect, but this is just a low quality video, u cant blame the game from bad video quality. U should look at more high res video's, then u see it looks great.
PC: Yes. Console: No.

YES there is higher res textures, greater view distance, and better character models! Just read any PC preview all they'll all state that!

I guess we are all nerds around here. I never intended to mean that people here, have no social life, as at least i can say i have. I sometimes do the thread refresh mambo though, when a game is due to be released, so that makes me a bigger nerd i suppose... =)
I wonder how much pages this thread will be when the game release is finally out. |

Yeah i think it's gonna be pretty sweet. Ragdol physiscs will be a nice addition (really missed that in Vice City), and for PC and xbox a new realtime lightning engine that reacts to the day/night cycles.. The PC previews so far have been very positive about the improved textures and new lightning engine. Gameplay, of course, will be awesome.

That video looks so crap, the frame rate is shocking. I really hope its a case of the video card having too high setting for what it is capable of, or this is going to my biggest dissapointment of the year, I been waiting @8 months for a graphics update from the PS2 version.....but the PS2 version looks way better than what i just saw in that vid by just having a much better frame rate and its not that fantastic on the PS2 ... but that game must of been running @10 fps.
.....i'm quite worried now

Yes but that was from a proffesional source, a big games magazine. Surely they have a decent PC and know how to set up a graphics card ?
If it is that they don't know how to setup the graphics settings, then its really worrying generally that they review games at all.

I have on many occasions noted the shit graphics of the screenshots of games in Gamespot. Actually quite a few occasions.
It leads me to the conclusion that they dont review their games on decent machines.

actually the game's graphics would be mediocre at best compared to other titles out. It will obviously be better then VC but nothing special. It certainly wouldnt take advantage of the high-end GPUs.

the GTA3 engine is limited though.
the gameplay is everything in the GTA series, graphics should never come first imo, gameplay should.
