I'm playing that fighter plan mission and at a point i have to stop the planes from flying out but just can't seem them where are the coming from ? Already in infrared

There's a couple of little bunkers by the side of the runway that should show you bright white plane shapes moving, one thing I did notice is that it dropped out of IR view at times and you have to go back in with the digital D pad.

Just done that mission about 10 mins ago, now on the mortar one.

Was well pissed off with the fight your way back to your unit mission, kept being picked off in one shot kills when I got to the big bus leaving you having to do a massive chunk all again.

I'm starting to like it more, unlike my neighbour who's getting the full surround sub bass unit treatment, he must think there's an earthquake here Smile

True, a proper surround setup is a must in games like this, the bullets whizzing past your head, explosions around you, its like being in the middle of the beach scene in Saving Private Ryan in DTS, totally amazing for the ears and the mind.

While ok in stereo, 5.1 and above just makes the games come alive, also love the surround in Rage, the torches crackling behind you....

A HUGE step from what I started with all those years back, your whole audio experience was a TV speaker, a mono tv speaker Smile

Stereo was the next big leap (or pseudo stereo on the Amiga computer, 2 channels with no panning so not as good) but surround just puts you in the middle of it all..

I don't use live and not interested in MP anyway.

reviews I've read are saying the SP campaign is meh - worth a couple of verbs to play through or no?

Pretty much everyone says that. If you don't care about MP, skip it. It's nothing Epic or memorable IMO.

I'd say its worth it, if you are looking for COD type over the top things then this may not be for you, if you like a solid realistic campaign that can be tough at times then its worth a go.

I'm quite happy with the use of two disks for it and I'm not into the MP side, pure campaign only.

Just seen an offer in the Sun for Battlefield 3 at Sainsburys. £37.99 or £24.99 if I purchase a £25 PSN card so £49.99! Hmmm ... Tempting.

May the NFOrce be with you always.

but surely a better offer, especially on a forum such as this, is battlefield 3 for the cost of 2 blank discs?

I feel it's about what the game is worth, so completely fair Smile

Battlefield.3.Eboot.Patch.PS3-DUPLEX

Have fun.

Quote:

D U P L E X

P R O U D L Y P R E S E N T S: Battlefield 3 - CFW 3.55 Eboot patch
Date: 10/2011 Languages: English
Platform: PS3 Genre: Action

Release Info:

DUPLEX has done it again - here's an eboot patch to play the retail Disc
based version from your hdd - on CFW 3.55 !!

We would usually just support BLUS30762 (Dcomics release!) , since we do
not acknowledge lame region dupes. It's just a waste of traffic unless the
nfo clearly states a difference to the first release (like different or
additional languages etc)
But since the BLES01275 dupe contains several new languages, we added a patch
for it too

Included are updates, cracks and param.sfo's for both
versions: BLUS30762 and BLES01275

1.) copy BLUS or BLES files to a FAT32 USB Key/USB Disk
2.) install the *DUPLEX*.Patch.v1.01.pkg
3.) install the *DUPLEX*.Crack.pkg
4.) run game from multiman and let it patch your param.sfo
(alternatively take the one from our pack and replace it manually)
5.) play from xmb on your cfw 3.55 !

Enjoy This Fine DUPLEX Release - BETA code free

Maybe game is available in a regional PSN for digital download?Maybe that's why Duplex released it.I can't see any other reason.
