Rofl, just watching that video after having played BF3 is hilarious. The game and engine really show their age.

hahahahahaha yeah Laughing
but i respect Activision for their courage. Cause when all you have left to hype your game is to promote "completely brand new maps and weapons", you have to be a ninja to come up with a marketing campaing Laughing Laughing Laughing

A friend of mine (CoD player) was playing BF3 here, and raging as hell about hitbox bugs. when i go check it, he was trying to snipe someone from like 300 meters away, aiming exactly on the guy head Laughing Laughing Laughing

Are Dedicated Servers Ranked or UnRanked?

Only matchmaking to public games are Ranked (meaning, you have to rank up to unlock weapons to rank on the leaderboards), choosing to play on a Dedicated Server is UnRanked. Meaning unlocks are completely controlled by the Server Admin. They can choose to unlock everything or limit class restrictions to whatever they like to fully customize the experience. You do not have to rank up in Public games to have access to weapons in Dedicated Servers, you have complete control over what is unlocked for you in a Unranked Dedicated Server.

Is anyone else disappointed about this ? That is the point of having dedicated servers if they are NOT ranked ? Sad

Gravity? duuuh

Gravity? Seriously? At 300 meters?

First let's assume the rifles in the game are properly set up for firing. Default set-up would be a 0-500 meters set up.

Now this set up allows for a rifleman to generally neglect bullet drop with a distance of up-to 500m

Even if the rifle is set up wrong, a normal rifle bullet at 300 meters will drop between 35-70cm.

Now what will happen is it will not hit the head, but do a lethal chest shot or a surely lethal stomache shot.

You can be right, but in BF3 300m is a lot of drop meters Very Happy
My longest headshot is 460m. I had to adjust the hell out of the SV98 to make the shot. Razz

Exactly my point. If you can't adjust for drop in the game, drop shouldn't be in the game, as it makes things really random

Yea, nice punching yourself in the face there "Don't compare this with real life" if its not realistic, there should be no drop, and yes he is correct, the bullet would not make a noticeable drop at 300m.

Also if you were truly long distance sniping you would have a spotter and all sorts of other shit, bullet drop is half the reason i don't play the silly game, trying too hard.

Extended launch trailer?

I have a feeling that if they extend it any longer, there won't be anything to play.

I don`t see how, for example, BF3 SP was any different. Have enjoyd every cod`s SP campaign so far and I`m sure will enjoy that as well.

The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

Looking at his profile picture he appears to suffer from a physical deformity...Maybe Activision felt bad for him and decided throw him a bone.

"I think Call of Duty resonates because it's believable and relatable," Sledgehammer Games cofounder Michael Condrey says.

Believable and relatable...Yep, sounds like Call of Duty

Indeed, this is strange.

Even if it was testing, it shouldn't show up on his profile?!

I enjoyed them up to COD4, then they went a bit downhill. Barely finished the Black Ops one. But i'll play this one. BF3 was crap compared even to BlackOps... Looked great thou

I am not happy about this yea, seems that they did not learn from MW2 and the succes BO dedicated servers had compared to MW2.
Oh well, less public for me anyway (got BF3 for that)
