its not a subscription itself. You basicly have to sign a contract saying you have to pay the next 12 months and cant cancel.
you can continue paying with the current models of 1,3 or 6 months plan.

why, its a sweet deal if you ask me. If you're planning on playing WoW anyway, you get D3 for free.
Its win-win for a WoW player.

Just heard something cool regarding the Collectors Edition of D3, and the new WoW sub deal. "People who buy the Collectors Edition get a credit toward the subscription"
So I guess you'll get a few months of WoW free or something. Cool nonetheless.

yeah, absolutely.
I don't play wow anymore but I'm happy for wow players. it's a great thing for them.
Sure, blizzard gets something out of it.. 1 year commitment is a big deal.. but many wow players would have paid that anyway so they just get diablo 3 for free.. just like that. There is no downside to this for them.
It's no use for me, but it's awesome for a lot of people. I don't see a reason to hate on this.

Quick question so I get this right. If I pay a 12-month subscription, I will get D3 for free for an unlimited amount of time? And when does the 12-month sub need to be paid, can it be now, or does it have to be after D3 comes out?

you do not have to pay for 12 months...
you just commit to 12 months of paying for wow..you cant cancel it
if you will continue to play WoW for next year...its pretty good deal |

you can still use whatever payment method you want.. monthly, 3-month, 6-month.
paying 6 months up front instead of going monthly is obviously cheaper and you have to eventually pay for the whole year anyway.. so unless you are really short on money and want to pay in small monthly rates you should go for 6-month.

pk blowed in diablo 2. was pure griefing. and i have a healthy colection of ears.
and about moege, all blizzie had to do was to change codes for comunication by using a new key.
they can do that every patch, and the server emulator team needs to find manually the new values for every thing. because for sure they canot find the encription key. so basically to start again from almost 0. good antihack measure.

jeez, if Blizzard put as much effort into the game as they did releasing all these fucking movies maybe it'd be out by now.
I do not like this new skill unlock shit either. Game is as good as Diablo 2 but leveling up unlocks your skills? fuck that.
