Honestly cant see the problem with the resses. Atleast you can choose to recieve the revive and not just get constantly ressed by pointwhoring medics like you did in BC2. And it doesnt cost on stats, either

yeah but the point of resses is to get you back in the fight alongside the rest of your team, so unless the medic is fucking you over for points, why would you usually refuse?
i just want to be able to face the way i died, rather than a random direction, thats all.
In BF3 there are 145 different Ranks (45 Levels than 100 service stars) in the game. It will take a good gamer about 40 days (960 hours) and take an average gamer about 50 days (1200hrs) to complete all of the ranks and unlocks. We unlock everything in less than 18 hours!

i did start with this boosting stuff too.
at the beginning i was against it, like in battlefield 2.
i never boosted but now all my stupid friends playing battlefield 3.
they are always on metro and spamming grenades and medi packs.
i thought wtf ... fuck them. now i'm #1 and they are still grenade spamming on metro.
the only reason i did this was because of this lame fuckers. metro and grenade only... go play something else
15mins ago our round ended. 4 players everyone with 250k xp. that is pretty ok i think
finally unlocked the SV98. always had trouble with it in the beta, but im determined to see what it can do, as it seems to be the snipers choice. 60 fucking kills until i can get that upgrade to chamber a new round while staying zoomed in though. i think thats the main problem i had with the rifle in the beta... always had to zoom out to chamber another round.
as it turns out, i think im really getting the hang of it. already up to 50 kills with it, and im not playing the game as heavily as a lot of you are, i think
i dont quite have that sniper sense that others do yet... i dont instinctively know how high to aim for long range targets... but ill get there eventually.
kinda like how it was so rude of crytek to stop me playing crysis 2 online with any old random key

ON the positive side, by then i was like level 20 or some shit, and pretty bored of the game already so i didnt really care was still awfully rude though.

I'm pretty sure guns aren't 100% in this, unlike BC2. I've definitely noticed carbines and PDWs especially go a bit off target at longer ranges.
Of course, then there's the artificial spread each gun has when fired in full auto.

Thought about asking support to alter it, but seeing their general level of incompetence they'd probably think that I was some kind of hacker and lock it down completely.

There was a queue in beta but it was disabled for some reason. I'm sure it'll be back.
In the meantime you can use "Battlelog Mods" which is a javascript mod that adds an auto-join button for full servers that will retry every 10 seconds. ( http://www.coderah.com/?page_id=389 )
Personally I really like Battlelog. I usually play games windowed and do a lot of alt-tabbing and I really enjoy that I don't have to switch to a game to see which one of my friends is online and playing, or to look for a good server. I can just add another tab to my browser which is in my opinion very convenient and doesn't take away any processing power or ram.
Once I find a server I just click join and can continue doing whatever I want while the game loads in the background, then it automatically pops up when it's ready.
Really I just see no disadvantage to this system. Am I the only one who has a browser open pretty much 24/7 with a bunch of tabs, where adding a battlelog tab is just so much better than having to launch the game every time I want to check servers or friends, or even worse, have the whole game running in the background all day?
