It's a valid point here though, due to the inevitable comparison to BF3. There is absolutely no difference between BF3's campaign and the last few CoD games: short, generic, filled with stupid events - yet despite all that, I still enjoy them for what they are (excluding Black Ops, that was too shit to be true). BF has never been an SP title and CoD will never return to the greatness that was CoD 1 and 2 in both SP and MP.
Differences between BF3 and CoD then? The former looks good doing what it does. Latter is still the same bastardised Tech 3 based engine it has been since CoD2 (as CoD1 was a pure Tech 3 title).

No Gameplay? If that were the case no body would play it. But that seems wrong.
The formula behind each call of duty is simple. It offers good amount of fun to all kinds of playstyles and skill level.
I mean i find BF3 utterly boring and a money wasted game. And some of my friends think the same.
So if you were to ask me, does BF3 look better than COD? Yes it does.
Is it better? No it's not, because all of those additions like lens flare, sound occlusion and whatnot hinder the competetive nature of the game.
Is BF3 better than COD4 or Blops? No its not. Atleast not in my book. And plenty of people agree with me, judging by sales numbers and the amount of players playing.
So if I had a choice BF3 or COD- It would naturally be cod, since it's just a lot more fun to actually play.
MW3 is an insanely chaos cod action. You dont even have time to notice the graphics, but there seems to be upgraded models and lighting which is FENOMENAL.

COD is a console shooter (starting with 3 and breaking through with 4)
Console players do make up the big chunk of their sales (true, not even arguing).

And no, cod is not "for all skill levels". People with a high average skills in FPS' games dont touch cod with a 10m long pole ... They stick with games like cs 1.x (or even css) and .. hm .. what else is there in competitive FPS' ... kinda drawing a blank here lol (quake is dead for some time now, what am i missing lol ?)

I agree... with the complete opposite of what you said. Me and all my friends think COD MP is boring. So yes, for us BF games are much better games. But oh well, it's a matter of opinions isn't it?
COD is what it is - a bit of mindless fun - not the same game it used to be and each episode is short lived for me now. That said - it's worth the Russian retail price 499 Rubles ... had to splash out for that. Pre loading

I think you are wrong. You make it seem like COD is an easy game to play. Which it is not if you step outside of random TDM pub.
Would those of you who have it mind giving some actual useful info? Can you change fov in MP? Can you change the network settings( like snaps and maxpackets)? Or have they restricted everything again?
Yeah I just had to get that and the death screen in there.
Anyway it's just using the cs.rin discussion information on how to decrypt the files along with the usual steam_appid.txt file (42680 for the SP exe, 42690 when using the MP exe.) but it needs to be write protected as the game will attempt to delete this before starting.
Unsure how the MP part is but apparently there's a number of people playing already.
(Game reviewers? Who knows.)
EDIT: Didn't try to fiddle with the console but I will check that shortly assuming there is something, no FoV command in the generated config file, only aspect ratio.
EDIT: Not much under the MP section either, disabled some stuff but it still stutters a bit while in those menus as it tries to query stuff like facebook.
