You can record anyone on the street/bus/public area without consequences since it's not illegal to do so. You don't have to ask for consent.

Frant is right; in the UK, there are NO laws against OVERT recording/filming of anyone in public places. The law only comes into effect when it's COVERT filming, since you're not allowed to make secret recordings of people without their consent.
