So anyone can cofirm that this has dedicated servers in the MW 1 sense or Blops sense ?

Actually, I've not seen my mum in over a year - so I'm looking forward to it Very Happy No PC though, the only lappy I have most definitely isn't enough to run Skyrim (HP Pavillion DV6000) so I'll just be taking my PS3 Very Happy

dedis are the same as mw1, but if you play on them you can't rank up. Ranked games are p2p only, just like mw2.

Yeah.. why not. aIW guys will do the job maybe, since they got mw2 mp cracked and working. mw3 should be easier since it already has dedis.

Egh.. Black Ops had dedicated servers too, yet Alter didn't do much for that. A barely-functional beta which they quickly shut down because they were tired of dealing with cheaters.

Changed download servers to Denmark, now i get 1mb/s. Ah well, 4 hours and i can get shocked by the shit fps + awesome FOV and recycled buildings.

Game so far is good..I would say great or excellant...but it is just the same as MW2...not much has changed...which is good . When I started the game up it was stuttering and jugging pretty hard. It finally stopped working and quit...I rebooted my PC and it is working fine. Glitchy when I start a new area but is fine when I restart that area...not sure why as I don't think they changed the engine too much? Good story so far lots and lots of explosions and fast running riding and driving scenes...If I was a huge COD fan I would give it a 9/10..but I am just a jaded gamer who has seen it all and played it all...so I give it a 7/10

The difference is mate, Sledgehammer/IW have deliberately made it so that you can't rank/progress on dedis. Only matchmaking. I reckon that's an AP measure ... give people standalone dedicated servers and it's stands to reason eventually they'll be cracked, just like MW1, but make it so that the servers offer NO progression (one of the main reasons MW series is so popular) and it's likely to be less of an attraction to pirates. Want progression? Buy the game and play "officially" Sad

Crack is indeed faulty

The option extra for "Image Quality" is working now aswell, plus in the main menu i get ~60 fps instead of 50 with crack.

So the crack is defo nuked.

It's worded a bit funny but Native is higher than Extra so use that if you can. Smile
(Extra still sees some down-scaling.)

(It's similar to the Default texture option in ArmA 2 which in comparison to Very High retains the original texture resolution at all times.)

It matters to me. I don't want to jump into the game at Lv70 straight away. There's nothing to work for that way, it just becomes a bog standard arena shooter. I'd rather play CS if that was the case Very Happy

Extra "works" with the crack as well. It makes your game blurry just like your retail copy does (just look at your screenshots). Set it to native.

I guess in this one FOV change is considered as cheat like in MW2? Why there cant be a fucking FOV slider like in Black Ops?

"Want progression? Buy the game and play officially" - which is what I was intending to do at some point, but not if the only way to progress is to play via matchmaking. I cannot begin to comprehend that vile decision. Aren't IW aware of the universal HATRED they received over using IWNet? Now they're fobbing it off on us again?
