Hide and Seek - 7.0/10 - A nice little horror flick with an insane little girl Very Happy

National Treasure - 4.0/10 - A great example how Jerry Bruckheimer never try something new in his movies... jeez.

I thought kung-fu hustle was pretty good. A little silly perhaps, but nevertheless good. Smile

I watched Suicide Club (Jisatsu saakuru) last night ... it was pretty good -- especially if you wonder what 50 teenagers look like when they throw themselves under a train Twisted Evil It's been likened to Battle Royale, but I don't really see that many similarities besides the plethora of dead asian teens Very Happy

It's a good film although i predicted it was the kids passing subliminal messages on pretty much from the start. The hosiptal bit is a bit freaky how they build it up though Smile.

SW3 ROTS: 7/10 - It was nice but nothing special, no surprises at all.

Empire Falls: 8/10 - Now this is more like a mini series in two parts, but none the less i enjoyed these two eps. It features Ed Harris, Paul Newman, Helen Hunt etc. a good HBO show with a high imdb rating

Kung Fu hustle had some fine comedic moments, but over-all I was not entertained. I did dig the palm trick at the end though. Smile

The animations in the middle just ruined it for me, especially that road-runner scene.

The "special powers" were really lame, in a non-comedic way, I didn't like any of the characters really.

And the fight scenes were very bland. Razz

This is all imo, of course.

Last movies I watched,

Elektra 6 out of 10, Didn't think it would be better than a 4.

Flight of the Phoenix 2004, 6 out of 10, Same as above.

Longest Yard 2005, 7 out of 10, I thought the actual football game part of the movie was entertaining, everything else was just bleh.

Clone Wars volume 1, 8 out of 10, Not a movie but watched recently, pretty good, should of been made into a live action movie instead of episode 1 and 2.

sw3: felt it was ok. crap dialogue, bad acting but good special and nice fight scenes effects use overall a good popcorn move 7.5/10

ps. far better than first 2 far crapper than last 2 (out of all 6) i liked the overall darker undertones.

pacifier: lol gotta say i'm probably gonna get riddiculed for this but i enjoyed it probably a 6.5/10. i found it kinda funny especially the bednight story scene but the last 1/2 hour it became the typical corny kids film which ruined it.

sin city: big supprise this film was incredible first half an hour dropped it a point but i think it was the best film i watched all year. 9/10. btw my favourite anti-hero was the big guy with the goldy short story(cant remember his name) felt it had great acting, nice effects and good use of colour in an overall black and white film.

SW:ROTS - crappy performance by Natalie Portman, also Christiansen didn't convince me as Vader but he was quite good - 9/10

Criminal - nice twist at the end but hard to believe - 5/10

Event Horizon - saw it on the telly and actually liked it - 7/10

Kingdom of Heaven - finally an Orlando Bloom movie that doesn't suck ass, worked for me better than Gladiator (Ed Norton was great in this) - 8/10

SWE3:ROTS 9/10

Excellent acting by Ewan Mcgregor and Ian McDiarmid. Rest was ok, though Portman and Samuel L Jackson really stank. Effects were superb, action was really tight. This is also the only SW that has drama, makes it alot better than the rest.

SWE3:ROTS 3.5/10

Ewan McGregor and Christopher Lee are rather solid actors here, but the script is bad, the plot is really poorly made (some things really suck), and the dramaturgy is as if it was done by a 4-year-old. There are no special effects in this movie worth mentioning, it's environment lacks believability. I won't mention Hayden Christensen aside from his name, as my rant about his acting abilities can be easily summarized: "Who let this confused singer in some boyband loose on the set, and why do they ask him to read lines?".

Seriously, Hayden sucks iguana pecker. He's Jar-Jar incarnate.

Yes, yes I'm back.
