Don't worry, Sin and I both have IntKey orders... so come the 11th we'll know whether they're IP/language locked. Let's just hope not, eh?

How eactly is it possible to know without using the key first? It says on their site they don't do refunds if the key is used. So how are we supposed to know unless some poor bastards tries it?

I'm fully expecting it to be a Russian key that requires activation from a Russian IP, that doesn't bother me at all.. I just hope it doesn't require PLAYING from a Russian IP - or isn't locked into Russian language.

You're in the same boat as me and other Eastern European players buying Bethesda games Smile It's supposed to unlock at midnight on Thursady. As to activation I have no idea how it works, I'm curious myself Smile I guess it's just like you say, it activates as any other game on Steam (entering cdkey and all) but it's simply blocked from the Store section of the Steam.

Cant find anything on Regional Locks anywhere on the Internet...
I mean Direct 2 Drive only sells to people within the UK...

Regional Locks are against EU Laws really... Since its "supposed" to be FREE Trade within the EU...

Maybe the industry has advanced far enough to have two zero-day patches by release date...

You never know with Bethesda. They have a reputation of releasing buggy games.

I'm just going with past experience on their other titles being that patches seem all but the norm.

If the game runs great from the start without any issues I'll be VERY impressed. As a XF boy I am 95% sure it'll run bad from the start, however thats more likely a driver crossfire issue than anything else.

Anyway just passing time by posting, dont mind me Very Happy

LOL Very Happy

I know that...
Was talking to the other person from a EU country, like Poland...

Found something from Steam Forums :
I have purchased a copy of Skyrim through Direct2Drive, GamersGate or some other digital download portal, not a physical DVD version. Won't that be different from the Steam version?
Will they be incompatible for modding?
No. There will be no difference nor incompatibility. Skyrim is exclusively on the Steam platform. These sites are selling Steam activation codes for Skyrim, similar to the SteamWorks DVD key. When you buy a code, you will activate it in your Steam client, which will then download and install Skyrim, just as if it was bought through Steam. So, there will be no difference from a version bought directly through Steam itself.

Oww, mother fuck :
Some dude wrote :
I just got a reply from Bethesda customer support..looks like Skyrim does indeed have a region lock.

This is just unacceptable and slap in the face to customers who want to enjoy the game in another language.
