In the future each major game publisher will have their own console, and as a consumer that means you'll own 5 or more of them..

Then there will be custom furniture cabinets, fans and waterblocks, and universal remotes for the consoles Razz

Size of the game files do not represent the size of the game itself. Look at RAGE. It's 25 gigs yet quite small and not really open world. And it's like 10 hours long.

Most ppl who said they were canceling preorders based on 6 gigabytes of data were 95% trolling. There were plenty of "preorder cancelled" topics at gamespot forums ( Very Happy ) made to piss off fanbois

I'm not an expert either but Oblivion fit on a 4.7GB DVD so if Skyrim is 6GB compressed is still a lot larger since compression is much better now than it was back in 2006. Also the leaked XBox version was 8GB or something.

Lol. Go look at the size of Evechron games. Their game worlds... sorry... universe is fucking HUGE. You can literally land on planets (seamlessly) and fly from one space sector to another without using the warp gates and it takes HOURS to do so. Yet, the game weighs in at like a gig (if that).

Space games are smaller by nature though. Fewer graphical assets required because space is mostly, well, space.

Not necessarily, the X3: TC DVD image is 8GB. Also remember when Freespace 2 came out in -99, it was on 3CDs which was huge. Now i have Freespace Open installed and it's nearly 10GB with everything Smile


Anyway, wonder who will be first out with Skyrim: RYLOADED or SKYDROW, or maybe FYRLIGHT or RYZOR1911 Razz

According to one of the support guys at Intkeys, Skyrim keys will be sent out AFTER release.

I blame MW3.

Look at Just Cause 2. A series of islands that literally would take you hours to drive across just a single island. That only weighs in at around 4GB. You could be killing dragons for the rest of your life if you had to gallop around on horses to places in that world map.

Keep our penis envy in check and play the game before judging it to be 'too small'

I'd blame them more for the current MW3 fiasco of having to hack the crap out of your Steam install to get MW3 working in something OTHER than Russian. They're only delaying the release so they can 'fix' whatever language issues Skyrim will inevitably have for those poor sods who purchased it from IntKeys but don't read Russian.

CJS-CDKeys got the game for $32, are they trustworthy? Will I get the cdkey on Friday and can I activate it on an American steam?

Thanks for feedbacks.

Edit: Once activated, you can download and play from any region and in any language. Is this true?
