Does anyone have experience with buying FO3/NV/Oblivion and pirating DLC? Or do you basically have to buy DLC if you go the legit route or risk steam bans and stuff.
I don't mind buying a game here and there but they are already working on 2 DLCs for Skyrim

I'm definitely not going to buy this one, at least not now. Even if it looks absolutely great (and the hype level is reaching the roof), I still regret having bought Oblivion back then

On friday of course. Preloads just balance server loads and you get to play as soon as it gets officially released.

So when exactly have we determined that the game will unlock for those activating with an AUS VPN?
Given the protection that this game uses, I would expect a cracked version online no more than 12 hours after this.

Yes I know. But I got keys for bf3 and fm12 about a day before I was supposed to. Of course I'm not amazed that I do not have the key yet, it was just a pointless post.

Um, that was referring to earlier titles mate. Oblivion/FO3/FONV. I can't say the same applies to Skyrim because I don't know how Skyrim's data files work yet. It might be that Beth changed it BECAUSE OF the piracy. Or they might not have.

isnt there aussies here on the hump that could set you guys a SOCKS or a proxy? Just quickly decrypt then go back to offline mode. Paying for that would seem really low.

CJS' RU keys are region free AFTER activation. Needs a VPN/RUS IP to activate, but as long as you preload outside of the VPN, you get English.

No problem ACTIVATING them, you won't risk your account, just don't BUY when using a VPN.

Doesn't activating a game start the preload automatically? Do you have to time the disconnect or something? Or am I remember the process wrong?

Nope. You're always given the option (after purchase or activation) whether you wish to install now or later. Just choose "no" and deactivate VPN.
