anyway | Spoiler: | since I got myself a pretty big challenge stealing all the documents with basically no gear (no saves before this)- I just need the answer to one thing, how do I get the key to escape down the hatch/door. Im guessing I have to piokpocket a guard? ? |

| Spoiler: | If i remember right... you need to kill some guard.. i rescued one guy that was chained up.. and some guards attacked me.. killed them and got the key from one of them. |

Can anyone tell me if raising your weapon skill influences the damage you do? I'm hoping weapon/magic skills aren't just perk requirements.

Of course it does. 1 point in 1 handed weapon gets you 25% more damage, 2 points gets you 40% etc.

Of course it does. 1 point in 1 handed weapon gets you 25% more damage, 2 points gets you 40% etc. |
I'm not referring to PERKS. I want to know if raising the SKILL affects your damage with weapons, I'm aware that perks do it.

I hope that its the same so I wont have to reburn it:P
what version does it say on the menu and does items textures always load or is it a game problem

No, only way to increase dmg is to upgrade the weapon.

btw. the xbox live update doesnt change anything (xbl update version is 1.1.1.14

Isn't that tied to your lvl as well? I know in Fallout3 (I know, I know - different game, different set rules) the dmg would change based on your lvl, don't know about Oblivion. I know the skills lvl in Oblivion would affect the combos you could do

You r wrong, the weapon dosnt get more dmg from lvl 1h or 2h from 0-100. Only 2 ways to increase dmg.
1. Perks
2. Upgrade your weapon.
