So will Steam see & forget the aussie VPN activation like origin did with bf3, or we are going to get busted?
(fuck the new generation of pirates, now not only we buy games, we also pay for VPN´s )
I did the initial activation with a RU VPN supplied by CJS, installed normally and i'll try to run steam at "release" time with my AU VPN running.
It's a lot of hoops to jump through for the sake of playing the game 12 or so hours early but heh that's half the fun right lol
Yeah I already have experience activating RU games, and I know that is "legal", but I never use a VPN to bypass the date check on steam , anyone in here do it before?
They probably can't do anything, I can have a friend in Australia and he make the activation for me
How are they testing a game they didn't even make? They should just release the fucking key and just give the language files on megaupload or something.

Yeah but there's no real reason to go offline. Once the game is installed just quit the VPN stuff. Make a file called steam_appid. Edit it with text editor and save the number 72850 in it (btw - I think that number is the correct appid but I could be wrong). Place it it the game directory and then just start the game from it's exe (i.e. not from the Steam shortcut). Steam has to be running but you can just play the game as you like. Once the preload button is gone you can use Steam to start the game if you like. It's all as normal.
It won't matter too much cos it's only SP so you can play with Steam in offline mode if you cba - It's obviously more important for MP games.
Steam counter is wrong, simple as that. That from MY Steam says "approximately 1 day and 0 hours" despite the fact that it's the 11th, for ME in MY country, in 10hrs and 34 minutes exactly. That's why Steam says "approximately"
I'm telling you mate, the game will not unlock in YOUR territory until it is the 11th for you. Australia will have it first before any other country, since they will be first to hit 11th.
Sorry, but my Steam-counter "corrected" itself. It now says:

A couple of hours ago it said "10 November 2011" and "...unlock in approximately 12 hours".
And since we're neighbouring countries you can bet that it won't unlock for you until earliest 0:00, November 11th, as of this post 21 hours and 39 minutes.
I have to say, this is one of the strangest threads I've seen on the hump. 95% of the posters in here are giddy like a bunch of school boys about a new game AND 95% of the posters (myself included) are BUYING (or have bought/pre-ordered) the game.

I hope the game is released (I mean by scene) multi-language or with a multi-language pack, like Skidrow did with Rage.
The problem with Steam games is it download only the language you have on Steam, so scene normally release english only, when they (scene group) could just change Steam language and get all of them (like I remember Skidrow did with some games)
Being this game so important, I hope they take the time. If not, as always, I would need to wait for another people to release language files somewhere, or full release in my language. That's a little annoying if you ask me. I miss the days of retail (CD/DVD) multi-language games for that reason.
