Yup, that's the one. Performance seems a lot better, though I haven't run fraps or alt-tabbed out to check for sure. |
Indeed, it seems better but when i turn FXAA and other stuff on (from JB latest config) it still rapes framerate down to 30ish..

JBs config would bring most rigs on its knees.

This thread moves so fast i don't know if anyone answered this or no. On my keyboard its "P" with the map open to remove the marker. |
It was answered, iirc they said click somewhere else to place another marker then you get the option to delete

Ah, I meant in a normal situation. The only solution is waiting for a new driver or profile.
Hm, you're getting 50fps using JBs ini with a single HD6870? That's impressive.

It sounds to me like you're NOT running the latest version. You can't just run the Razor copy, it's not complete - even their "update" isn't full. Look back through this thread and you'll see JBeckman posted a proper update archive, over 100MB, that has the updated files you need (specifically Skyrim - Interface.bsa which fixes the issues you're describing) I've had NO issues whatsoever with rotating items, dropping items, entering/exiting menus, resting, etc etc. |
Can anyone confirm repack is still missing some updates, and that JBs files are still way to update game ?
Because JB replied that after repack you don't need his files anymore, but don't know if anyone compared repacked and his files.

Correct (Which is great.) this includes the missed (updated) BSA archives.] |

Repack? What does the repack do? So, there's the update and a repack of it?

I have a 6990 which isn't bottlenecked by my i7 920 @ 4.1GHz (your cpu is a better btw) at all at this point, making out @ 60fps on Ultra settings with pretty much everything on (ini edits), although it does dip, but I've never seen it drop below 47 and that was for less than a few seconds. Don't think bottlenecking is the issue. |
Mine is at stock speeds (the cpu). Benchmarks show huge difference between stock and oc. If indeed this is the case though, it's probably some retarded shit like usual with Nvidia cards being b-necked by cpus unlike AMD cards.

Make a backup if you're unsure (My Docs\My Games\Skyrim) but I'm PRETTY sure the saves are just fine.

Probably it's a repost but:
This game is like a drug
Will definitely buy it in the future when the price drops a little, it's exactly what Oblivion should have been.

Just to add, with the updated razor patch, clicking and getting a result is a lot more effective now. I used to have issues spell binding to a left or right hand (or both), but now it seems to work fine.

Does the repack improves performance, or only fixes the UI and fellow bugs?
In the same page, are there any performance tweaks out there?

Ok, ok... we both were right
Im swapping between 3 characters, my khajiit assassin thief (lot of fun killed one guy with an stealth backstab), my breton mage (ffs magic is too fun and really usefull) and my nord warhammer lover
And only do the first main quest, there are alot of things to do before the main history
