Well, Alt-Tabbing greets me with a black screen when i switch back to the game.
Also the same as you, I cant adjust the volume with my Razer Black Widow KB. |
To bring it back after alt tabbing you have to alt tab again and click lmb

I like it very much. But I will wat for some patches to come and play it round christmas.
But one Question:
In the favourites menu where I have listed my favorite items/spells, I can assign a key from 1-8 as a shortcut to the item/spell. How do I define in which hand the spell is to go when I press 1-8 after assigning?

Not sure if there is a better way but i think by default it goes to left hand even if R is empty (unless you open Q and left click for Right and right click for Left - funny how its reversed lol) ... so if you JUST press the 1 - 8 buttons you have to press 1 spell twice to get it to right hand and then anything you press afterwards goes to left hand.

Already found it DarkRohirrim! there's a controlmap_custom.txt file in the main skyrim folder
Delete it, and the problem is gone!

Isn't that the file containing the custom controls? Or you can remap them again after that and the bug is still gone?

It seems it was exactly that, but the bug isn't gone if you remap them again. I found out how to favorite items like this though. The key for favorite is the key that you put for toggling the POV and the key for dropping is the key that you put for sheating the weapon. No wonder so many of you "don't have" the problem. I think everybody has it since the update, but many play with default controls (which suck way too much for me). It was fine before...

Man, these frost trolls are a pain in the ass. I can't beat them except when i exploit. Am i too low level or is there some unthinkable way to beat them? They seriously kill me in about 3 hits.

First time I navigated there and spoke to that dude about the first mission (convincing three dudes to pay something) I couldn't even get out of that f****ng place. Not until I finally saw a lever on the wall to lower a bridge to get out of there. There was zero light where that lever was, I just couldn't see it and ran around for 20mins. Oh and that clairvoyance spell adviced me to run through a wall. |

Kinda wondering if i should continue as an "assassin". Basically i was planning to go max rogue mode with daggers stealthing around ...bit of archery and everything else related : speech/lockpicking/onehanded/etc with no spells.
But now considering the scale of the game .. i'm not sure how exciting it's gonna be to sneak up for the rest of the 300 hours or w/e compared to say a mage learning new spells.
Any ideas if you'll be able to make combat more interesting eventually as a dagger/archery type of character? If not i guess it's gonna be time to reroll mage.

I can't quite remember but did we buy/find recipes for armour/alchemy etc in Oblivion? I find it rather odd that I seem know every single skill(at a low level perhaps ) even though I am but a meer pup. I do remember advancing by reading books but not learning how to craft particular weapons/armour/potions.
