For those with the low volume problem:

Go to your documents and then \My Games\Skyrim there is a file called SkyrimPrefs.
Inside it, scroll down to the very bottom and you'll find 2 lines:
[AudioMenu]
fAudioMasterVolume=1.000
Just change that 1.000 to a higher value, according to your listening needs (personally, i use 4.000)

2nd option is to look for a loudness button in ur souddriver

Hey by the way Razz

Thanks. Smile

Thanks for the info! I tested this and the difference is very noticeable, as these screens will show you (first one is No AO, second one AO enabled:

Also, for those Nvidia users hating the screen blurring that comes with FXAA (like myself), there's two alternatives (you need Nvidia Inspector for both):

1. Set AA compatibility bits for the Skyrim profile to "0x200100C5", then

Antialiasing - Mode = "Enhance the application setting" finally,
Antialiasing - Transparency Mulstisampling = "Enabled"

2. Set AA compatibility bits to "0x20410041", then

Antialiasing - Mode = "Enhance the application setting" finally,
Antialiasing - Transparency Supersampling = "2x Sparse grid supersampling"

Be warned though, the second method is much more performance taxing, specially if you decide to use 4x instead of 2x sgaa (go ahead if you have 1500MB+ vram or SLI). I preferred to use the first method as the visual difference between ms traa and 2x sg ssaa is almost unnoticeable and you get like 10 fps more with the former.

The console has so many more possibilities. Assuming most console commands work in this and I know for a fact one does.

I think when it comes to AO, it's a matter of taste Very Happy I personally love the AO enabled when it's properly done (I think that's the case here with the drivers doing it).

@topic

I love this game. I love it to ickle tiny bits.

@b0se

Sorry bud, I don't know - haven't got there yet. I've been too busy exploring. Most likely you'll have to go there as part of the story, though I don't know that either.

It's extremely frustrating, i have been saving and reloading the checkpoint 30 fucking times to gest past that Esbern fucking quest, at each trigger and each step I had to restart the checkpoint in order to make that old fuck move and progress into the main quest.

Fucked up game.

Heh yeah, that was harder than the first dragon you have to kill. I went to the cliff where the stormcloaks are and sniped them all with my bow.

You need to go to the forge, select LEATHER, and then choose the LEATHER HELM option. If it's greyed out, you need to step over to the tannery and skin some pelts to get leather.

@inz

Is it wrong of me to be Lv13 and have still not even seen, let alone fought, my first dragon? Laughing

Surely not wrong, but weird seeing as you meet your first dragon pretty early.
