Nox when is was populated, that game was just hilarious.
And I have to toss a vote for MoH:AA too, I used to host a server at this LAN place I worked at, it ran Omaha 24/7 and had sniper rifles removed.
It was _always_ awesome watching the allies fight their way up. Those are some of my best FPS memories.

Reason: Having vehicles and projectiles flying by your head while fragging 5 people in a row is almost orgasmic...
PC Single Player - No Mod: Uplink
Reason: 100% immersive, perfect choice of music, simple-style interface, and completely innovative. This is one game that truly did what a game is supposed to do: entertain.
PC Single Player - Mod: Starcraft
Reason: Legacy of the Confederation mod. The massive wars played alongside an intricate plot and the dedication so hardcore that player-made FMVs were included. Perfect voice acting and modulation (you actually think they were able to get the original Blizzard voice actors) with emotional plot twists that give you goosebumps.
Console: 3-way tie. Perfect Dark (N64) Blast Corps (N64) Rez (Dreamcast/PS2)
If I had to pick 1 it would be Blast Corps. Reasons for all 3 are obvious to anyone who has ever played the games when they came out.

heh,isnt that a question that is impossible to answer?
i mean,i grew up when the amiga/c64 was popular and almost all amiga games is great,so even if i woud chose 1 amiga game that i like most,i coud not have done it,its impossible.
then we have nes,snes,sega mega drive,playstation,playstation 2 and all the games for the pc combined with the amiga/c64 games,thats more than 1000 game to chose from,so as you see,its impossible to chose 1.
even if you had asked the question "which is the best PC game" it woud be impossible to answer.

absolute best: Deus Ex (however the sequel is a disaster)
second best: Fallout 2 (I can play this one over and over again)
third best: Lunar Silver Star Story (Ghaleon is an asshole)
4th: Final Fantasy 7 (epic)
5th: GTA:VC ("Diaz, I've came to take over your business")
6th: Baldur's Gate 2 (legend)
7th: GTA3 (..., guy doesn't seem to talk much)
8th: Vampire the Masquerade: Redemption (Christof, thy wounds!)
9th: GTA2 (In this city, respect is everything)
10th: if I come up with something, I'll post it

prince of persia 1 (played with the girlfriend what a ride!)

Oh man, GTA1 brings back some great memories.. I remember I got it from one of the Twilight cd's (anyone remember those??). I never heard of the game so I tried it and it was awesome!
